I really don't mean for this to be a hate comment, but somehow Arthur doesn't seem to suit historical fantasy roles too well... I couldn't see him as a warring general at all 😭 His Lighter and Princess character fit him to a T and his other modern movie/drama roles look so good
What is with kdramas these days? They've lost their spark... so many tropes that current cdramas are doing 10x better so this looks lackluster compared to them. Started out nicely, we had some cute characters... Crown Prince was a really really nice character, and maybe the only reason I finished the series. Started rambling and losing itself in it's self-imposed convolutions three-fourths of the way in and the finale was a royal mess, literally. I'm happy they're happy but lots of stuff could have been done better.
How is the chemistry between the 2 leads? I somehow cant imagine it which is preventing me from watching the whole…
well they seem to play off each other pretty well... i like their relationship and the way they have a little soft spot for each other but the drama hasn't put them in too many romantic-tension type scenes so we can't see their chemistry in that light too well.
Does it make sense that a partner attorney in a law firm is resigning and suddenly in a few days they are strapped…
i mean they tried to explain it by giving her those huge compensations to pay esp to the dog experiment place... but yeah not always very smart writing
Just a few. In fact there is so much going on that when I think back I don't immediately think of this as a body…
the fact that so much is already going on makes the whole body swap thing just too much to handle though 😭😭 im already stressing enough over hoping everyone gets out alive and they go switching back and forth
This is actually so different from what I expected. I'm only on ep 2 and all the names confuse me but the way the main leads' story unfolds is honestly so nice and refreshing. sure, there are misunderstandings, but the ML is not the usual high-handed asshole. He's kind and smart and the FL is a strong and sweet person. I love how they help each other out and recognize/respect the other's strengths and good traits even before falling in love. it's so cute!
oh come on what's with the comments the plot is a bit all over the place but the CHEMISTRYYYY the CHEMISTRYYYY i wish Lee Je Hoon made more romcoms because his romance with Shin Min Ah WRECKED me. They played their characters so well - goofy, silly, so cheesy and in love
My thoughts too. I'm on ep 15..was expecting much more considering high rating
honestly, i would say - save your time. There's nothing new that hasn't already been done and the initial fun of the two leads flirting in everyone's face dies out after a while. and the reveal is the most anticlimatic, unrewarding thing I have ever witnessed. absolute garbage writing by the writer.
how is this so highly rated im 23 eps in and so frustrated with how they keep milking and milking and milking…
genuinely im so mad rn i thought Ashes of Love was frustrating but at least they had good enough reasons and batshit crazy villains to justify whatever insanity they cooked up but here it's just one FL absolutely refusing to reveal her identity for no reason whatsoever but also dropping the most obvious clues wherever she goes... and an otherwise super smart ML who can't figure out smth that's right in front of his eyes.

like be so for real JBZ would not have cared if she actually was Ming Xian or whatever he woulda been mad and then got over it bc he loves her the same way he got over her first reveal. i doubt he would even have a problem giving her the Golden Millet Dream too cause she is genuinely dying. idk this is the dumbest shit i have watched in years and i've watched my fair share of xianxia/wuxia romances. writers twisted her character just so they could drag this out for 30 episodes.
how is this so highly rated im 23 eps in and so frustrated with how they keep milking and milking and milking her secret identity plot wow I hate it when writers just DRAG things on cause they have no other ideas for how to move the plot alongggg
is the love triangle bad and is sml forced himself on her like they do in jdrama, and is she make boundaries with…
they have one kinda sus scene in halfway in the middle and then I think somewhere around the 7-8th ep(not sure) he drunkenly kisses her. she slaps him but later goes back to help him so it still felt like he got away with it so i didn't like it.

Love triangle isn't really bad since the FL only has eyes for ML the entire time, she never wavers... but yeah the SML does push himself on her and she can't completely push him away and it's annoying. The ML is understanding and the FL immediately clears things with him but still, I wish she would push SML away harder.
I loooooooove this kind of storyline SO MUCH!!! Had the same vibes as Goblin and From Now On, Showtime with the who-killed-who in their past lives and whether the present lines will mimic the old
