The second lead cheating arc was so dumb it's like the writers couldn't decide to go all the way or not and that led to it all looking so over-the-top and unnecessary. They had multiple options but they somehow chose the most underwhelming one. 1. He cheats outright. She catches him. Done. 2. The cheating plot isn't even brought in - i feel this was the most meaningful option... we've seen enough cheating plotlines and this couple felt a little fresh in the beginning because cheating wasn't even on the plate-- both are struggling to provide for each other and build their careers and ML's constant absence wears FL down. They could have gone to the end with this one-- either ML somehow finds a way to be more present or FL eventually breaks down over it and they work it out or leave. 3. He half-cheats?? what even was this option? I understand that it's like the final straw that breaks FL but they played it out very badly. FL catches him with the woman and immediately goes into a depression arc without even speaking to him about it. When she finally confronts him, ML is so exhausted he barely fights the allegations and in the hospital scene it felt like she just gave up too easily. And then skip forward to the divorce. After all the time they spent building that couple's relationship and making them both likable this felt so weird.
Say what you want about the plot but the chemistry between Lee Je Hoon and Shin Min Ah is UNTOUCHABLE. The married-couple energy was so strong, and I have yet to see a drama with such effortlessly cute chemistry. They're goofy, they're silly, and they're so so hot π Shin Min Ah has always impressed me with her romantic chemistry, but I haven't seen Lee Je Hoon like this before and it is BEAUTIFUL.
i love ML he's such a sweet guy but i may have been watching too many old dramas cause I'm finding SML cuter as the episodes go by ππ the way he folds under 0 pressure when it comes to FL is just hilarious
Among all the other things I love about this truly well-made drama, I love how the good guys hit back just as hard as the bad guys. You try to kill 6 innocent people? Here, ALL 20 of you can DIE. I hate how some dramas have the powerful ML and FL sparing evil people again and again, allowing them to continue hurting more and more innocents.
Cheng Lei brings so much laughter and fun into every single scene here... I love those over-the-top expressions he makes when he's pretending to be a tyrant, and the way he's so all out for the FL lol
what the HECK was that first ep ππ ML's lines are SO CRINGE exactly how high were those writers to come up with trash as cheesy as this ππ i truly am better than this
One of the reasons this show feels special and unique to me is because of the way it was filmed. Many scenes looks…
i read somewhere that since this was adapted from a well-known manga, many scenes the director just described and the actors just improvised through the whole thing... it really feels like you're just sitting on a couch in their house and watching their lives play out. This is my comfort drama.
this was soooooooooo cuteeeeee!! the cinematography was extremely pretty; each frame could be a postcard! and the America scene πππ comedy GOLD
I think so too. i tried watching his another historical drama when Destiny Brings the Demon which was also a disappointment,…
I AGREEEEE i've been trying to watch WDBTD since forever the storyline is fine but I just cannot see Arthur as a badass demon king or smth he just looks too small and boyish(idk his height don't come at me π)... he's got arrogant but very boyish good looks and that's why he was so perfect in L&P.
Only reason i could imagine is that romance is quite forced.
How is the romance forced? π He so clearly has a crush on her early in the drama after she saves him... he looks like a disappointed puppy whenever she pretends to not care and frantically rushes to her when he thinks she's in trouble. She was slower to fall but you can clearly see her look at him differently after a while... she's already sacrificed quite a lot and takes his side all the time. There are looks looks looks looks all throughout to make you see their growing attraction
Contrary to some people's belief I LOVE GHOST ROMANCES..OMG...KDRAMAS were the first ones to introduce this genre…
They work really well as friends... I like the way they play off each other and their banter is fun to watch. They set up a romance from the very beginning so IDK why there are so many people crying in the comments here about a forced romance... he so clearly has a crush on her from like ep 2 or 3
