more than just bromance!!

most underrated drama!
it has all the great casts and acting. it has the great story line and good plots.
if i may compare this to "woh" which is currently airing the same time around, i honestly think this drama is way better.
probably because i'm not really into wuxia series anymore and i'm kinda bored with jianghu heroes and all.
just when i needed something fresh then came along killer and healer.
the main leads couple are awesome. even the second couple are amazing.
someone said BL drama should not have a girl in it to make it close to bl, then she is wrong. even with the girl presence this drama doesnt lose the BL vibes. fyi, chinese BL drama should have girl in it to pass the censorship.

the romantic interactions between the leads may not so BL for some people as they wish for some kissing scenes or more vulgar dialogs. but for me the smooth and gentle mature touch of the leads are more than kisses! it never fails to give me goosebumps everytime. you can see and feel their love without having them to say "i love you"

i highly recommend this drama. i'm glad i found this drama. people never mention anything about it. it's like a hidden gem❤️

time for real kungfu fighting

i'm glad i decided to watch this drama. i thought it was gonna be draggy but i was wrong.
the story flows really well.
no need for over doing romance scenes. they are just in perfect portions.
great cinematography. great costumes.
the actors all did a wonderful job portraying their characters, even the westerners.
the background music is amazing. they were put in at the right moment, makes the scenes more dramatic.
watch this in high resolutions and you'll be blown away.
this is a highly recommended drama.

It's Actually Not Bad

i wasnt interested to watch this drama because of Ju JingYi. not that i hate her, i just find that her acting is just so-so.
good thing that her character in this drama is very likable, she's smart and independent.

Story :
there's nothing new about the whole story. two peoole in love and jealous enemies.
the one thing i really find it irritating is that there are so many jelaous people around the main couple. it's like two person wasn't enought and they made it three??? come on! dont those people have life? the over obsessions towards someone they love is just... so annoying! i'm already bored with evil 2nd female, and now evil 2nd male???
this could've been a way better drama if it's not because of over jealous people around the main couple. way too many schemes over and over. but i kept watching because it's actually not a bad drama.

Acting:
almost everyone's acting is just.. either fine or just so-so.
however i did find Ju JingYi's acting is getting better. apart from her exessive make up i think i starting to take her as an actress.

Characters:
-Jiang BaoNing : i like her, she's smart, strong and independent. mostly she never fell for anyone's schemes, except at the last few episodes.
- Li Qian: i like how much he loves Jiang BaoNing. i'm loving them together.
- Li ChangQing (Li Qian's father): i like his interactions with his son and wife. especially with his wife
- Mrs He (Li Qian's step mom): she's a bit annoying at first but it's all because of her naive personality. as the story goes i started to like her.
- Gao Miao Rong : what a scary woman!
- Zhao Xiao : can i just kill him already? he is the most irritating character of all! his obsession towards BaoNing makes me wanna slap him and yell "wake up!!!"
- Han Tong Xin : another over jealous character.
- Li Dong Zi (DongDong) : i like her character, really like her. she's pretty, brave and strong.
- Qing An : i like his interactions with DongDong. such a sweet couple

Is this drama worth watching? yes. it's not a super great drama but yes it is worth watching and quite enjoyable.
would i recommend this drama? absolutely.

Loop Drama With Best New Actors

i'm not usually into short time travel drama because they tend to have the same repetitive story. not to mention, short dramas usually filled with new faces actors that mostly need to sharpen their acting skill.
but not this one. i can say this short web drama has the best newbies so far. the main lead actors did not only give wonderful acting gesture but also face expressions. i hope they both can grow big because they deserve it.

the story is light and it flows at the right pace. no draggy scenes and prolong dialogs. i binge watched it for 3 hour straight.

i highly recommend this drama, short but engaging.

harem, harem and harem!

harem!!
the drama theme that i mostly avoid watching becauze harem is always full of backstabbing women and bullying. but this time i gave it a try.
turned out just like i thought. full of bullying and backstabbing. but i managed to make it to ep 43 with lots of skipping scenes.

story:
doesnt suit my taste. harem, harem and harem. the story flow feels too draggy. it could've been better if it only had 30 eps. 47 eps full of backstabbing is just too much for me.

casts:
- tan song yun is good. she suits for the role. she looks very mature. i like it when she smiles. however i feel like something is a bit off.

- wallace chung is a bit dull here. idk. probably the character needed him to. i dont like him here despite his good acting.

- daddi tang xiaotian, this is the first time i watch his drama. his acting is a bit stiff, but he has potential, not so disappointing.

music:
music is good. especially the one that zhou shen sings. he always amazes me. every song he sings sounds so beautiful.

is it recommandable?
i might say yes, but not much. if you can handle 47 eps of backstabbing then you're good to go. if not, i doubt that you will enjoy this drama.

DON'T DO REMAKE OF THIS DRAMA, IT'S ALREADY THIS GREAT

this is the best historical drama i've watched. i watched it back in 2013 amd been rewatching it like 5 times already.
i dont wish for this drama to be remade, this one is already so great! let this be a legendary drama.

some episodes felt draggy but it didnt concern me at all as the story itself is engaging.
the casts are all awesome, even the bad guys!

the fighting scenes are the best. this is the only kingdom themed historical drama with lots of fighting scenes. most kingdom/palace drama dont have many fighting scenes especially this great.
the war scenes are great for the era of 2013. the choreography is superb.

i highly recommend this drama. watch it, feel it, feel the brotherhood, enjoy the fighting scenes.

it's not that good that it needs 55 episodes

story:
this is the only reason i watched. the story is quite different and it has several side stories that's more interesting than the main leads' story.
it didnt even need 10 eps for the ship to sail. it's too rush that they forgot to bring the chemistry on board. that's a shame.
the story of crown prince and the entertainer guy is really something else.

casts and acting:
- xukai
his acting is not much different than the last time i watched him in arsenal military academy. he needs to improve. give him something different, something more challanging. he only has this playboy face that suits the character but his acting was plain.
though everyone is praising him, i dont think i like him here.
his chemestry with the female lead is nowhere to be found. i waited for 16 eps and still didnt get their chemistry. i couldnt anymore, so decided to drop the drama. i didnt wanna waste my time on a drama that doesnt get me the feeling.

-li yi tong
she's actually a good actress. however she failed to deliver the feeling in this drama. i like her in "royal nirvana". probably because she's paired with xukai, suddenly her acting feel so stiff. their interactions are lack of chemistry, so much that i had to admit her chemistry with 2nd lead (prince zhou) is much better.
i shipped her with prince zhou.
everyone thinks he's annoying. but let's be honest. if it was the main male that do what prince zhou does with the female lead (they say he uses his power and privilllage to tease the female lead) i'm sure everyone would think it's sweet or cute. why not him?? this thing happens alot in a drama and no one complains because it is the leading male who do it. but when it come to the 2nd male, everyone is annoyed by him.
double standard much?

- other casts are good. i recognize quite many faces.

overall:
i really dont think this drama needs more than 40 episodes. 36 is better. a little bit draggy her and there somtimes. not too much but enough to bored me.

would i recommend this drama?
well.. if you like xukai or li yi tong you'd probably enjoy it.
but for me no. i lost my appetite juat watching the leads lack of chemistry.
the story itself is not bad if you can handle the 54 episodes of lost chemistry. i couldnt.

It Could've Been Better

i dropped this drama at ep 12 because i found it boring. i like the heroine though. she's tough and smart. however the male lead actor got me cringe everytime. i dont think he suits the role. for me he looks too mature to play childish role. idk.. probably Cheng Xingxu or Liu Yuning should've played the role instead?
also i couldnt feel the leads chemistry, mostly because of the lead actor doesnt suit his character.
this drama could've been better, but...

i wasn't expacting this

this is of the hidden gems. a good drama with good plot and good pace. no draggy, no unnecessary long dialogs, and good casts.
i wasn't expecting anything when i first started to watch it. i thought i would be just like any other romance dramas with overly done cuteness of the female leads. i was wrong.
this drama got me hooked since its first episode.
it has strong a character of female lead, which i like.
and i'd like to point out one thing that i like about this drama, is that it doesnt have second couple story. female leads usually have a female friend with her own love story and most of them are boring me. it only adds the unnecassary episodes to the drama. this drama is able to maintain its main story.
if you want a drama with the leads' full screen-times, this is it.
and i like the slow burn romance. it's good to build the leads' chemestry.
i really enjoy this drama. i binged watched it to ep 9. i deffinately recommend this drama

the only stands out in this drama is the women. none of the female characters is annoying like most of dramas.
on the other hand the male lead character is boring. probably the actor couldnt portray Wu You very well. i dont know. all i know is i dont like the male lead. i even wish he would just die. lol
the big problem is the lack of chemestry between the leads. this drama would be better off without their love story. i often skip their scenes. they suck!

oh and i cringe quite alot seeing how the female lead, a woman who suppossed to be good at martial, falls too many time only to give the male lead a chance to catch her. lousy script!

however i need to watch how this will end, dispite all the lacks

a bit draggy but toleratable

story:
except the romance, the main story is rather unusal in a good way. kinda reminds me of korean drama "where stars land"
the romance flows quite good, not too fast not to slow. and not overly done. altough many scenes are a bit repetitive but still acceptable.
i'm not really into modern romance drama but this one is able to make me watching.
i have a habbit of skipping scenes because most of chinese dramas can be really draggy but up to ep 12 i havent skipped one second.

casts and charatcters:
-jiang xiaoning
like most chinese dramas female lead, she is cute and very likable. she's a bit naive but not dumb, very energetic and humble. common protagonist. what i like i most is that she's not clingy. fair xing, the actor for jiang xiaoning, acts very well.

-gu chuan
it's not something new to have a icy cold boss as the male protagonist in a drama. what make this drama's boss is different than usual is that he has a mechanical heart to support his live. that makes the story interesting.
i usually drop ren jia lun's drama because i always think his acting is boring. he always has this same stiff poker face. but this time i can even smile watching him. he's done a great job.

-everyone in this drama can act. they all are perfect for their roles. not to mention the second couple xu and yanyan, they are perfect.
i usually never interested in second couple story but this one i can enjoy watching.

when i first watched this drama i wasnt expecting this good. up to ep 12 i have nothing to complain. i never thought i would be enjoying this.

would i recommend this drama? yes

Poor Acting and Tan Jianci and JuJingYi Resemblance

This could've been a good series if it wasn't for the poor acting by most of the actors. Except for the male lead actor. Yes i understand it's a mini series, usually played by newbies, but there are also mini series with good acting skills.
The story isn't that bad, typical reincarnation drama. However i noticed there are some scenes that suddenly jump forward. There are also boring scenes and dialogs that i had to skip. The plot is kinda predictable.

I have to say this btw.
The male lead actor looks like Tan JianCi (especially TJC as Xiang Liu) and the female lead looks like Ju JingYi. I'm pretty sure the producer noticed it and wanted them to be "TJC and JJY" ( judge from how they act and the FL excessive make up and hair accessories).
The male lead actor is good, although many times he's kinda copied TJC's acting gestures. The FL however, needs to improve her acting skill. I hope to see her in other drama with her real self, not as a resemblance of Ju Jingyi.

Overall the drama is good if you need to kill some times. It's short, light and has pretty faces. But if you wanna watch good quality drama, this won't be the choice

cute light hearted drama that drags way too long

a light hearted drama should not have this long episodes. 16 or 24 maximum is enough. the long episodes only make the drama feels draggy. so many unnecessary scenes.

story: it's almost no story. other than the male lead trying to find the killer lf his mother, basically nothing more. only cute romantic scenes and all.

casts: i'm new to these faces.
female lead is cute especially when she smiles. her acting is ok.
male lead is good looking. he fits his role. his acting is not bad.
second lead male is not bad.

i'm currently watching killer and healer, and i'm watching this while waiting for killer and healer to be subbed. so it's not my main drama
but it's not so bad to spend some times on it. i'm quite enjoying it, but not too much that i want to binge watch it.

would i recommend this drama? not sure. if you're new to chinese costume drama this could be a choice. if you like cute light drama with no heavy story then you might wanna try this. but will you satisfied with it? probably not.
or you can just watch it just to spend times while waiting for other dramas to come out.
