One time watch for Davika, if you are a fan
Davika is quite a good actress and beautiful too. She looks her part and as usual the costume department has done a great job. Even the evil women are well decked up.
It's the men who are so weak that it seems this aspect will never change in lakorn world.
The ML's words and actions show that he likes the FL but he doesn't hesitate to hug another woman and caress her. He is a mama's boy who gets engaged to said woman. Thankfully his mom didn't order him to sleep with his fiancée otherwise he would have done that as well.
The FL has learnt nothing from what her mother went through so eventually she gets on with this loser. How romantic it is when an engaged ML takes the FL to his secret home, locks her up and she has no qualms being in his arms and being kissed by him.
FL's bestie keeps telling the FL that the girl should simply ignore and forget how her mom was abused and thrown away. The episode where the FL claims her right over the company should have been the highlight where the evildoers realize their crime but this is the drama that tells us to tolerate abuse and forgive criminals. Not only the ML but the FL's own mother doesn't believe in punishing the wicked. The evil sister rightfully mocked the FL that her own mother was not on her side.
FL's mom is the kind of woman who'll say, you didn't walk all over me properly please do it again. She wanted to pimp her daughter to the highest bidder in the name of country, her step father and step brother were far better.
Other people have mentioned and I agree that the leads didn't have chemistry. The actor playing the FL's brother was so much better in terms of chemistry, and acting.
ML keeps both his options open by being with both sisters. I can see what he'll do in future as well. FL being a princess will have far better options but she has her 'happy' ending with a man who had no hesitation being with her step sister. The ML acts as if he was being forced to be close to another woman. His parents have raised him well.
The ending is a bit unclear to me. Did the ML accept the woman of a higher status coz they kept saying how their status was different and how he wishes she was secretary. But if the ML was a price and the FL was a commoner, the lakorn would have shown us her 'struggles', she would be taught how to eat, sit, talk to be worthy of the man.
I don't think I've ever come across any lakorn that is worth watching again. This falls in the same category.
