best action/crime/mystery drama ever

i tend to not write many reviews, but i've watched over 200 shows, and this one made me spend my time to write my third review.

kill it has so many layers of depth to it that i haven't seen from many other dramas. our main character, kim suhyeon, is a killer with a humane side to him. he has a sense of responsibility to protect those who cannot protect themselves. he has a nurturing side to him while he was raised to kill and not leave any witnesses alive. while he got the job done with cold blood, to those who he cares for and those who are innocent, he protects with his life. his personality is what you would expect a killer's to be, cold and unmoving for the most part, but his actions showed his true intent.

the main female lead, do hyunjin, has a past that is way more intense than what the drama description makes her out to be. her being a ballerina really has nothing to do with this drama, and there's a big twist in her name and how she got it. i enjoyed how her background and kim suhyeon's connected. there didn't need to be a lot of physical romance between the two to know that they deeply cared for one another. hyunjin is a strong, independent female officer who puts justice first, regardless of who you are. she will protect as best as she can, but ultimately she just want's the best for what is just.

our supporting characters, phillip and kang seulgi, brought a smile to my face while i was stuck into a serious state for twenty minutes. their relationship with kim suhyeon was touching all the way up until the ending. seulgi is a girl who found her way with suhyeon, even after having a past with him that you'll discover if you watch the show (watch it.). phillip and suheyon's relationship dates back to when they were children, to me they seemed more like brothers than just friends.

the ending had to be one of the time's i've cried the most after watching any drama. it is sad as a forewarning, but it was necessary for the show and for justice. overall, you should give this show a chance, it's really really wonderful.

p.s. there will be blood in this drama and violence (you already knew that)
