A nice adaptation, could've been better

I am a huge fan of the manga (re-read it many, many, MANY times) and I was aware it would be hard to adapt the story into a single movie (a series would have been better), so I didn't have huge expectations.

The movie is nice, a bit messy maybe and lacks a bit of dialogue (like many Japanese movies/shows, sure, but this one would have probably benefited from it) and thought-process on how the characters reach certain conclusions/feelings. If you read the manga/watch the anime, it's easier to digest, otherwise it's a bit of a rushed movie.

The cast is very good, maybe only the female lead I found a little... not so great among the rest of the cast. Not for her acting skills, because no one in the movie really shines (except maybe the male lead and the female lead's best friend) but I feel like another actress would have fit the role better. Not what I imagined for Erika at all tbh. Kento Yamazaki, on the other hand, is perfect for the role, nothing to say about that choice.

One thing I can wholly praise is the soundtrack, cause there are many songs that are download-worthy and replay-until-you-vomit-worthy.

All in all, the movie is not too bad and I rewatched it 2-3 times since it came out. I'm still hoping for a live-action series though.

You don't want to miss this movie

This movie is the ideal comfort movie. It has action, crime, comedy, drama, youth and most importantly, the warmest ending ever.

The two leads are perfect for their roles and I dare anyone not to fall in love with them. They're the typical next-door guys who are dumbdumb but have hearts of gold and will fight for what is right (and sexily so). Lots of laughter because of them and you will love every minute of it.

This movie is a gem and it deserves way more recognition that it has. You don't need to know anything else, just watch it and you will see for yourself how rewatch-worthy this is!

A series from the bad guy's point of view?? I eat this sh*t up

First things first: I'm Italian, so watching Vincenzo for me has been... an experience XD

I loved this series. Despite the (expected) stereotypes about Italians and the mafia, I could thoroughfully enjoy it.

What I love the most about this series is that the main character is a villain. He is a bad guy, a criminal, a guy who knows that he doesn't deserve Heaven or redemption, who is aware of his being bad and doesn't act like he wants to redeem himself.

The series doesn't hide or try to soften the fact that Vincenzo is a criminal, and I loved it. Up to the very end, you don't get some cheesy message like "yeah I did bad things, but for the right reasons because I believe in justice". That's just bulls*it, you won't find any "legal" justice here.

Don't get me wrong, Vincenzo is far from being unlikeable. In fact, he's very much likeable and you can't help rooting for him even when he does 'bad' things. But as you watch, in some remote part of your brain a voice says "wow, this guy is ruthless". And yet you can't help but fall in love with him for so many reasons.

Song Joongki in this drama is simply Oscar-worthy. And I loved how they managed to use the whole cast well despite having so many characters. I really grew fond of every single character.

Chapeau at the whole team behind this drama because they made 20 episodes of 90 minutes each (each episode is like a movie basically) and yet I never felt bored for one minute while watching it. It's pure entertainment! I wouldn't rewatch just because it's really really long, but who knows! I might rewatch my fave episodes in a month's time. There are many great epic moments in this!

Last thing I want to say is: Moonlovers should have had this kind of ending. It was that easy to give it a happy ending. Thank you Vincenzo for giving me my happy pill!

Ps: despite this drama not really romanticizing Italian mafia, I also think they painted a way too 'cheerful' picture of it. And unfortunately there are no charming guys like Song Joongki, so remember: MAFIA IS BAD!

The best "School" Installment so far

I literally have no idea why this drama isn't praised everywhere. I watched almost all of the new School-20xx installments and this is by far THE BEST one!

I went in expecting something along the lines of School 2013, and instead it was so much better! The whole storyline with the mysterious Student X and the "rebels" is so thrilling and entertaining, keeps you always on your toes and makes you want to know more!

The romance in this drama is on the same level as the best romance kdramas you can think of. The chemistry between the leads is smoking hot, it will make your heart beat and you will giggle hard as if you were the one living their love story! There are so many parts of this drama that are a perfect example of what romance in dramas should be like.

I can't think of a single thing I didn't like about this drama. Please watch it! You really won't regret it. It's even on Netflix now!

It was great, then it was a little what the fuck?

I watched this for mainly 2 reasons: 1. Park Seo Joon 2. Everyone kept saying how great this show was.

And not gonna lie. It IS great.

It keeps you hooked to the end. However, it seems to have very high standards as a kdrama, but the last two episodes were kinda... what? NO SPOILERS, but some things that happen in the last 2 episodes are a bit... unrealistic and weirdly plotted.

But the ending is great, so if you're unsure on whether to watch it, I'd say watch it and judge for yourself!

Something spooky and funny for Halloween

I'm not surprised of the medium-low rating because this drama is not for everyone. It's odd, a little twisted and leaves many things unsaid until the end. It's a drama that asks you to think and use your brain, to come up with explanations by connecting the dots instead of just giving you all the answers from the start.

That's not to say the story doesn't give answerS. In the end, more or less everything is explained. The story starts in the middle and lets you get accustomed to all the weirdness and the characters before it starts to give you explanations.

Overall, it's a fun, endearing and sometimes tearinducing watch. I enjoyed it very much even though it's a genre on its own that it's even hard to explain with words. Definitely a pleasant watch I would recommend to everyone who's looking for something spooky but not scary, and to everyone who wants to have a good laugh.

//SPOILERS AHEAD//

I gave 8.5 because the ending could probably benefit of a couple more minutes to see where the other characters, especially the professor, ended up. They also teased romance for the whole duration of the series, but it seems that in the end either they leave the ending to your imagination, or it was put aside completely (I'm more for the first option, since there is /that/ scene towards the very end between the two leads, so I can't believe they just didn't pursue a relationship after that.)

Keeps you hooked to the end!

I really didn't expect to enjoy this drama as much as I did, mostly because I happened to watch it almost by chance and I didn't see anyone talk about it. GRAVE MISTAKE! It is really, really good.

The story is super duper fantasy, so be prepared for all sort of weird things and magic, but I think it works well within the context of the story.

You will fall in love with every single character, even the villain! I must say, I especially loved the main villain (Sin). I wish we could have seen more of him and I honestly hope he'll be back for S2!

I was scared there would be an open ending because of the S2 announcement, but the drama is wrapped up nicely and doesn't leave any question unanswered, so even if it didn't continue, you would feel completely satisfied.

Simply speaking, JUST WATCH IT! You won't regret.
