for me it was like, as soon as I saw his face flash across the screen the first time in The STory of Yanxi Palace, I thought, who is this actor? A Chinese face like that? His face is not perfect, but his features and expressiveness is beautiful. Even XK says his face is too round and short and pointed. But his beauty goes beyond physical, there's something very charming and appealing about his personality and expressions.

in ep 1, we get a glimpse that Ji Xing can be sloppy and forgetful like forgetting where she placed her bag, and Tu has to remind her "under the pillow". That is a clue that she could lose her mobile phone. Then she got mad at the taxicab driver and wanted to get out immediately. The cab driver said, "so emotional", so that was another clue about her personality, she can be impulsive and emotional. Later, HT followed her and asks her to get in his car out of the rain and says to her " you haven't' changed in ten years".

He has amber colored eyes and extra-long eyelashes too. Fans who have seen him in person say he is hundred time more handsome in real life.

My top: Bai Jue, Fucha Fuheng, Zhu Zhanji, Li Ni, Bian Luohan, Wang Lu, Yang Hua, Qing Mu, Bo Xuan, Yao Zhiming, Han Ting, Gu Yanzhen, Lu Sicheng, Yue Jinchao, Li Xuan, Sheng Chumu, Li Chenlan, Mo Qing, Han Tai (Autumn Fairy Tale), Dongbo Xueying, Ding Yingqi, (I don't count Shen Yu in Untouchable Lovers as that wasn't even a real role. I consider Fucha Fuheng is first and debut role). To be fair, I haven't watched all of Kunlun or Lingjian. Some characters, I like equally, too hard to decide.

I haven't watched Kunlun in its entirety from beginning to end. There are only two XK dramas I haven't been able to watch because I couldn't' find them. Dance of Sky Empire I found it on Amazon Prime but some of the episodes is off, like you're watching a scene, but the script is for another episode, you know how annoying that is to understand the plot; but still, I enjoy it very much. It's not my top XK drama but he does have chemistry with the fl and it's so entertaining. My favorite scene is where he puts an invisible wall between them so she can go back and he will stay behind because only one can leave. The agony in their faces watching each other disappear.

Snow Eagle Lord - love the XK's martial arts which he basically did ALL of it himself. The chemistry between the ml and his Master was really good. I wasn't crazy about the fl, her expressions esp. her eyes were bland. XK scene in the tight space trying to save his mother from being suck into the abyss was outstanding. Poor XK, he suffered a lot making this drama, lot of risky scenes that could endanger one's health. In one scene, he told the director if he didn't say cut, he was going to literally drop dead. Another scene, the dust was unbearable. If you look at Viki rating is 9.1, there are lot of people who really enjoy this kind of martial arts drama. It's not a favorite for me, but I found the characters interesting because of their flaws and I like the camaraderie. I really enjoy the 2ml and 2fl chemistry and the 2fl character was fun to watch. I've seen Douban comments that say XK was obligated to take this role when he could have taken Lost You Forever instead - not sure if this is true.

Sword and Fairy 6 - I adore this drama very much. Esther and XK were superb. XK's portrayal of Jinzhao and BLH temperament is spot on. It shows his versatility as an actor. Esther owns the character Qi. No one else can be Qi. Her noodle scene was impeccable. Also, I like the unique story, and it has a science fiction feel to it. The entire cast, their chemistry and acting was excellent. The ship that sailed in the sky was beautiful.

Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain - It's not available to me so I've only seen parts of it. I want to say it's brilliant piece of work. In fact, the Douban is 7.0 and must have been quite popular seeing it has 91K user ratings. 13% 5 stars, 75% 4 and 3 stars. Very few 1 and 2 stars. I find some of XK's best acting in this drama. I found his acting to be high energy and passionate. He's outstanding at comedy. The comedy is hilarious. This is another one of his roles that he owns the character. There is a lot of chemistry between the ml and fl, but not your usual kind of dynamics. I recall a kiss scene that was incredibly passionate as far as the mood of it, at least to me.

Lost in the Kunlun Mountain - It's not available to me so I've only seen parts of it and the overall drama doesn't feel very exciting. The chemistry between ml and fl was not outstanding for some reason. I found it on kisskh so I will try to watch it in its entirety. The actors were fine but ...

Tan jia ci is a very good actor and should make for good collaboration.
