And now I dare to leave my daughter, who gives me a headache, in your hands" Yao says: "you're welcome" (Yao's face expressions are interesting in this transaction encounter. I don't know what's going on here, but he looks like a person who is resigned to do whatever it is he needs to do and not feel anything anymore. his past must be so tragic). There is never joy or pleasure in Yao's face, even when he's with grandma. Zhang wants Yao to help her kick Dennis out. For some reason, if they can acquire grandma's hotel, it will benefit them both, Zhang talks about being promoted and help Yao get promoted too. Zhang's daughter ZhiYu doesn't get along with her mother and is part of the transaction. I wonder if Yao has to marry her as part of the deal. I think grandma is probably onto grandson already. she's too smart. So Yao tells Zhang it will take him at least a year and after it's done, he will return to headquarters and leave the hotel in her management. that's an interesting possibility the divorce settlement but YZM is the only blood relative of grandma and grandpa since YZM mother passed away. If grandpa is rich, shouldn't YZM be the sole heir and he is rich too unless grandpa passed away when YZM was young, and his crooked father gambled all his money away? If YZM is not that wealthy, then for sure grandma will pass off her wealth to him as well as to her most precious favorite person in the whole world (MCH). I think grandma is old money because of the way she carries herself like a noble person of high status. Oh, and then what about the mistress of grandpa, surely, he must have married her after the divorce? she would have been a stepmom to YZM, probably a wicked stepmother since she was having an affair with a married man. I guess she's passed away too. Did grandpa will any money to his second wife and her family? I'm just wondering how well off is YZM without his grandmother's wealth?

grandma told grandson to treat her as a sister (meimei) so she has never hinted that he should take a love interest in her. I thought maybe grandma would think about setting them up but so far I see no clues. Grandma is very wise, very astute, very smart and tough. It seems she's been through a lot in life with a cheating husband and who knows what else. She can read grandson really well. I wonder how YZM felt when MCH said that grandma watched her grow up when she' s not even related to grandma. Did he feel a bit jealous? Did YZM ever pay his grandma a visit before this return? I know he said he kept in touch with her through letters. If he did visit, they must have been short visits and then he went back abroad. His grandfather took him and his father abroad when he was still young, and he never saw grandma again for a long time. It sounds like he was close to his grandma as a kid because she said he cried before he left. Grandma seems to think his grandson thinks more about his work than her because she told him he didn't' need to see her if he's busy and then she said so what do you want to see me about and he assured her that he came to see her because he was concern for her, not looking for something from her.
isn't the first 12 episodes concerning her marriage proposal really not so much about the bf as much as it is about laying out the dynamics of her personal and working relationship with YZM? fl has no idea how wealthy grandma is and although grandma only blood relative is the grandson, but I think fl is more precious to grandma. So far, grandma and grandson are cordial, polite, respectful, affectionate, etc. but seem a little distant too. Grandma is extremely close to fl. It's almost like grandma raised her in a way, giving her guidance as she's growing up.
