Compared to other xianxias and dramas of a similar genre, SAF is not the best in terms of cinematography and CGI.…
I read that SAF6 had financial issues so it couldn't create the big expensive special effect types of scenes. It had to consider costs and benefits of doing each scene so there were a lot of tradeoffs and they had to cut good scenes that are too costly. Also, they used an unknown director whose style is more measured. This drama feels like watching a play unfolding on stage depending heavily on the actors' performances which they delivered, and some fighting scenes feel like watching a dance production, beautifully choreographed and artistic. If the drama has bigger funding and bigger name director, maybe it would have bigger more dramatic fighting and emotional scenes but honestly, the drama turned out just fine. It became a delicate emotional and mature drama. It restored the theme, characters personalities (except Bian which Xu Kai went beyond the script), the heart and soul, and mood of the game, and satisfied the gaming community as the only true adaptation of Chinese Paladin game. If the viewer is interested in a captivating story, solid cast, great chemistry, adorable romance, forever loyal friends, lots of character developments, superb acting, powerful and emotional story of tragedy, honor and sacrifice, and much more, then this drama will find its way to their hearts.
I love Esther and Xukai but this drama is not that good. The sound effect and song louder than the actor voice…
Every drama has music in the background. AJTL was even louder (during romance and interactions), so I don't find SAF6 that different than dramas today? But SAF6 is restoring the mood in the game which had constant music playing the whole time. Was the volume the same as the drama? I would say it is similar but the music in the game has traditional Chinese sounds (I think it's the guqin?) mixed in, so it tones it down. I really liked the music in the game, even more than the drama because the sounds are interesting and complex and sometimes dramatic. This storytelling is considered a classic by some, and the drama follows it very closely especially the ending it practically restored it action by action, line by line, scene by scene, except for the two leads outcome which in the epilogue of the game, it was bland like there it was, no explanation, but the drama I thought made it much more interesting and thought provoking. Xu Kai and Esther acting is outstanding especially in certain scenes, they really rose to the occasion. The acting of the cast more than offsets any loud music.
"Before completing the exchange and walking out of the fog soul, when he felt that the existence of Bian Luohuan was about to be erased and felt unacceptable for a while, he immediately said, "As long as his faith and mission are in our hearts, even if we no longer remember him, then he is still alive." This is the place where Bian Luohuan and the Yue Dynasty are truly unified, and it is also the place where the Yue Jin Dynasty is worthy of the name of "future"."
"Just like Yue Qi said when he was about to forget Bian, even if he doesn't remember this person, his spirit will remain in everyone's hearts. So no matter what, it exists in such a form."
It was kind of reincarnation, but it was still JinZhao and Qi (with their personalities), just without memories,…
Reincarnation will be born into a different body and different lifetime. That is not Qi and Jinzaho. They were reborn into the same body and same lifetime minus the memories and gets a new start. They are still the same Qi and Jinzhao as before. The fish pendant will help them to resonant again.
On Here's Marcus, for top Chinese drama last week, SAF6 ranked #2, but in reality, it was #3 since Amidst a Snowstorm was not categorized correctly so it fell to #9 but should have been #1. So far SAF6 since it aired, the popularity is #1, #1, #2, #3 during its 30 days.
I see comments out there that SAF is a flop or that "no one is watching it", etc. I don't know why people say that to discourage others from wanting to watch it?
The 2/16 broadcast data for Sword and Fairy is not bad after 30 days of airing. Maoyan #2, Kuyun #10 (477M views), Yunhe #10 (431M views), Lighthouse #4, Vlinkage #2
The fish pendants are a symbol that they will be together forever. Mr. Gu said that too. Jinzhao and Qi wished it too many times. And the ending, they were together. They were the same souls as before. Jinzhao was resurrected, not reincarnated. Qi did not have to give up her soul, only memories of her, that's why Jinzhao couldn't remember her when he bumped into her at the end, but when the pendants with the power of Mist Soul in them resonated, he started to remember.
"Although they no longer remember each other, they will surely start a new life journey bound by fate."
"The small fish jade pendant is her exclusive emotional token with Yue Jinchao, and she also took it with her when she went to Longtan to exchange it. Shuangyue's feelings are extremely pure, which is obvious to all, and like a jade pendant, it can't be inserted into anyone else. Just like she said to Suhe, what she wanted to exchange for was the Yue Jin Dynasty who had been with her for four years, and she wanted to change the fate of the Yue Jin Dynasty who had only lived for four years. Faced with the fact that her existence has been erased, she pins her trust on the jade pendant as a proof of the existence of Yue Qi and their feelings. Based on such a prayer, it is impossible for Suhe to exchange a mixture out."
Su He: "To resurrect a life, the wisher must sacrifice their own life and all the memories associated with them at the cost of their existence. The number of lives in the world is fixed and cannot be changed." Xu Wei came first to the Resurrection Dragon Pool, but his remaining life is meager. That means Jinzhao resurrected won't live more than a year. But Xu Wei still sacrificed for Jinzhao so that means Xu Wei paid for Jinzhao's reincarnation and it will be Xu Wei who is reincarnated, not Jinzhao. Jinzhao is resurrected or reborn within the same lifetime and gets a new start in his current existence, so he gets to keep its current existence, he is still the same Jinzhao minus the memories. Later, Qi also came to see Su He and since Xu Wei already paid for Jinzhao's reincarnation, she does not need to be reincarnated in her trade, but to extend Jinzhao's life, she has to give up memories associated with her. (Now she's a powerful Kun beast who can live 100,000 years so that she has a lot of bargaining power.) Qi brought the two fish pendants with her and was holding them united together in her right hands as she went through the exchange process. The fish pendants have the power of the Mist Soul in them and when they touch each other, a resonance power turns on. In the ending, what we see are not reincarnated Jinzhao and Qi but they are both reborn into the same existence in the same lifetime, but since Qi had to give up memories associated with her, they have no memory of each other and no one else remembers them either, until they bump into each other, and the fish pendants collided and ignited the power of the Mist Soul that seemed to trigger their memories of each other once again, in the same way in Ep17 when Qi was under the effect of the Mist Soul she remembered her Master. Whether they will be able to fully regain all their memories, as long as they have the fish pendant, they will be together and make new memories. In a way, the fish pendants allow them to resonant again with each other. These two people are the same two people minus the memories and will get a new start. If they fell in love before, they will fall in love again, this is their fate, and the Mist Soul in Qi, in her pendant will ignite it again and again when it collides with the other fish pendant who knows maybe they will recall some of the past memories if momentarily.
lol, y'all lied about this having a happy ending. That was anything but happy. Even bittersweet is being generous.…
Xuwei paid for Jinzhao's reincarnation, so Jinzaho gets to keep his existence. Had Xuwei had a longer life, then Qi would not have had to exchange her memories to extend his life, but she did not have to give up her existence, only her memories, and she was not reincarnated, and neither was Jinzhao.
Qi and Jinzaho still exists but since Qi had to give up all her memories so there is no more memory of them in this world, but they are still the old Qi and Jinzhao. They still both wear the jade pendants which has been infused with the powerful Mist Soul of going back in time, that collided when the bumped into each other, triggered their reunion, just like in Ep 17, when she was under the power of the Mist Soul, she remembered her Master.

The Mist Soul is in the core of the Demon realm and is the gloomiest and most chaotic place in the world. It has strong time energy so it can slow down time and make people forget the recent memories and travel back in time. In Ep. 17, Qi lays in the Mist Soul (or Fog Soul) healing. When Bian tries to transfer his energy to her, the Mist Soul rejected him. The Spring's power has made a connection with Qi. When she woke up, she thought she as back with Master and forget Jinzhao. The woman said to Qi she can barter with her jade pendant, but Qi immediately said no but couldn't remember why? Qi it seems has established a connection with the Mist Soul and her jade pendant has an influence on her. In Ep. 35, after the war, there was a fragment of suspected connection between Qi and the Mist Soul, and the jade pendant was already glowing, indicating that the jade pendant had absorbed the power of the Mist Soul. In Ep. 36, the jade pendants collided and produced some kind of induction and lit up at the same time, can be considered the power of the Mist Soul is working again. From the time, Qi and Jinzhao wore the jade pendants, there were lots of hugs, and the more it collides, then the more the collision of the jade pendant triggers the power of time, the more powerful the suggestion that the owner of the jade pendants has hugged many times before, and the more frequent return to the hugs as long as the owners are wearing the pendants.
Qi and Jinzhao memories are forgotten but not their existence. Xu Wei may have been reincarnated but not Qi and Jinzhao. The conclusion below is that "So no matter what the process is, the new Shuangyue comes from the old Shuangyue, which is different from reincarnation, and can be said to be exactly the same as the old Shuangyue."
Basically, it's a happy ending because they are reunited. They may have to start over again, but it's the same Jinzhao and Qi existence, without the old memories, they will make new memories together, through the power of the Mist Soul absorbed by the jade pendant, it willl draw them back together. Already, the ending we see that they seem to recognize each other. The ending is in keeping with the sad and tragic themes, everyone else paid a heavy price. At least they get to start over as their old existence but new memories.
First of all, the definition of existence given by Xianliu is the memory of oneself and the memory of others for oneself, that is, the "self" and the "self" projected on others are combined to form a complete "me", but this existence needs a living body to carry it in order to become a living individual. Longtan can't create but can only exchange, so exchanging an individual needs to pay Longtan for existence and the vitality that can carry existence. Secondly, as for what kind of individual is exchanged, it depends on what kind of individual the person wants to exchange.
Then it can be concluded that the Longtan exchange needs to extract information from existence (that is, memory), and cannot completely exchange an individual out of thin air. This is why the first Longtan exchange needed Bian Luohuan three years later to exchange the Yue Dynasty, because Bian Luohuan only had the memory of the Yue Dynasty after three years. Then combined with the original fairy sword "Five Spirits and Six Realms" The worldview,An individual also has a soul,After the death of the individual (except for the demons)The soul will first go to the ghost world and then reincarnate,Because the Yue Dynasty is not an individual who has already existed,Then the source of his soul can only be Bian Luohuan,Plus Bian Luohuan's memory of the Yue Dynasty,The exchanged Yue Jinchao inherited the vitality of Bian Luohuan three years later,And according to his memory and prayer for life,Find life together,Feelings deepened step by step,Resonance continues to strengthen,Finally, a complete closed loop is formed,In this infinite loop of closed loop,Yue Jinchao has always been that Yue Jinchao. Therefore, the existence of Bian Luohuan is exchanged for another existence that can replace himself to complete the task.
Then there is the second Longtan exchange at the end, which is exchanged by Ying Xuwei and Yue Qi together, and the Yue Jin Dynasty exchanged this time is the Yue Jin Dynasty that already exists. Since Yue Jinchao is dead, Long Tan's information about Yue Jinchao will not increase but will continue to decrease over time, and his existence is a gradual decreasing process. If he is reincarnated, his soul will exist in a new individual, and this individual will be a new existence. Suppose someone reincarnates him from Longtan, then it is a process of recalling his soul and then injecting the life force of the wisher into the body according to his existence information, and the soul of the wisher is reincarnated in place of his soul. Whether it is a continuation of the existence of the Yue Jin Dynasty or the existence of a new individual, it is necessary to pay the existence of the wisher to Longtan. The purpose of Yingxu's substitution is to compensate Shuangyue, and the purpose of Yue's substitution is to return to the present day. Obviously, Ying Xuwei arrived in Longtan before Yue Qi to propose an exchange, and he was the leader, so he avoided Yue Qi's soul from being reincarnated instead of Yue Jinchao's soul. Moreover, because it is an exchange of two existences, there will definitely be a new prayer with the new and present dynasties, Ying Xu Wei pays for existence, and the soul reincarnates instead of Yue Jinchao, Yue Qi may only need to pay for existence and part of the life force, or carry out a soul exchange similar to Bian Luohuan and Yue Jinchao. So no matter what the process is, the new Shuangyue comes from the old Shuangyue, which is different from reincarnation, and can be said to be exactly the same as the old Shuangyue.
