No that's not true that fans inflate scores purposely - maybe some do. If they rate it generously, it's because the rating system is flawed. There is no criteria how one should rate a drama. One person may find a character to be annoying and rate it less, how is that not deflating the score?
Because the remaining life of that first person was too short (he had one year left), so it was not enough for…
The ending is the same as the game ending. In the game ending, Qi and Jinzhao know each other. But in the drama, they show that they just met and will get to know each other. They give so many clues that will happen, the fish pendants they both wearing touched each other as if it activated resonance between them again, they kept turning back and looking at each other, and ended the scene with them both staring at each other. It seems that not all the memories were completely wiped out. Maybe Qi being an ancient beast with long life, had more than enough to sacrifice so they allowed some memories to remain. It's a fantasy, anything can happen so I just accept that somehow some memories did remain but it's faint but enough that will get them back together. It's a very happy ending that these two will get to know each other again and have a new beginning, a better life. If they follow the game where in the epilogue, JInzhao and Qi know each other, that would e confusing and boring. Already I read a comment the ending is bland, so the drama made it more interesting by allowing the viewer some intrigue and mystery and imagination instead of just well here's Jinzhao and Qi again.
It's a fantasy, who knows, maybe Qi did something to the fish pendants when she took them with her to be sacrificed for her memories. Maybe she left some memories or "resonance" in the fish pendants so that she can be reunited with him. Their bond and resonance was so strong , even the "Gods" cannot remove all trace of it. The saying "Love conquers all" taken to the extreme. Afterall, Bian was able to put his memories in JInzhao's left eye, why can't she do that with the fish pendants?
Esther is a good actress and I do believe actresses & actors need do tune ups for different roles & genres which…
I can watch the intro scene over and over again, she's so lovely to watch. Esther has high quality in her acting (her expressions are deep), charm, and offers something special other actresses don't have. I''m glad to know her in SAF6. I will watch her more in the future. Without her as Qi, SAF6 would not have been the same and Xu Kai would not be as good without her as fl.
The low rating are from haters who're stalking this drama to bring down the rating. Don't mind it, if you like…
it takes less than a minute to rate every episode. select currently watching, enter the ep #, input the rating, submit, and repeat 36 times for each ep; then select completed and input a rating one time and submit.
The purpose of resonance is to stimulate the power of Qi's divine beast. The stronger the bond between Jinzhao and Qi, the stronger the resonance, to sharpen her sword, and so this is also the purpose of Jinzhao and Qi lies in their resonance. Their bond was much greater than between Qi and Bian, even before Bian was injured. The power of pure unconditional love (between Qi and Jinzaho) is greater than the power of love and control (Qi and Bian, although Bian did love her just as much, but he also had to control her, and even though she loved him, it was not unconditional, she was really in a cage and never felt free). With Jinzhao, Qi was free to explore her feelings and Jianzhao helped her to understand them. the success of Qi and Jinzaho's reasonance is really to Bian's credit, poor Bian, it was the resonance he always wanted with Qi.
After watching, Ep 1 intro makes sense. Yujie Hub, guardian of the Six Realms, territory of the Hengdao Sect. Xu Wei: It's about time, Huan (Qi's Master, aka Bian) Seal away Qi's memories and send her to the Mortal Realm. The hope of saving all beings in the future is now entrusted to her. You see a pink whale spin through a circle or loop (what does that loop represent?) and spins into human form (Qi). Qi: Has Commander Ying greed to take us to the human world? We see that Master (Bian) can control Qi and not let her come closer. Master: Qi, your sword originates from thoughts (resonance?). Do you know your mission behind that sword? Qi: My mission behind the sword? Does carrying a sword mean I must kill people. But I don't want to kill anyone. We see again Master can control Qi and put her to sleep. Then she wakes up and is with Jinzhao with no memory of her Master.
From Ep 1, already told us that Qi is not originally human, has a power that comes from her thoughts that is her weapon. She refers to Commander Ying so she is part of Henddao Sect who will go to human world on some mission that involves killing people in order to save all beings. She is the key to accomplishing the mission. Ep 1 shows she is under control of Master. Emulating from hand movements, it shows a bright beautiful golden sword that is her weapon used in battle. Even though she is the weapon for the mission, but they have to wipe out her memory in order for her to succeed in this mission.
Esther has such power and grace in her movements. First actress I enjoyed those hand movements they make.
You would think Ancient Love Poetry and The Legends top 3 for Xu Kai.... We are talking about Masterpieces....…
I was merely ranking it on Viki based on Viki user ratings how his dramas on Viki compare since both WOL and SAF6 are on Viki and I saw a big jump in user ratings for WOL last two days. Not everyone is watching on Viki. ALP is my top 3 XK drama, maybe #1. p.s. I still like Xu Kai acting in Royal Feast the best of all of his dramas to date. It may not have the range of emotional scenes but there was a quality about it that I wished he could do more of that. I like him best in serious roles.
Gonna watch this soon.. hope it will be as FANTASTIC as Wonderland of Love!
It's different but each has its own magic. Don't watch SAF6 as if it should give you the same vibe as WOL, it's like ice-cream, there are many flavors you can enjoy. When you go buy ice-cream and there are 20 flavors in front of you, why not try more than one flavor? Get two flavors, double scoop, more slice of life, don't miss out.
He always is amusing to listen to and gives freely of himself in interviews, spontaneous and uninhibited.
XK is so funny, he should be a standup comedian. He says in such a matter of fact with a straight face as in of course: "it's soft and easy to pinch, really good. Hmm... next time you interview her, you can find someone to pinch her face", "we fished for a long time... clears his throat... No one caught anything. That bait doesn't work" (he gives that look on his face like, of course it's not me, protect my reputation). Does he even know how funny he comes across?
He’s a cat person!! And I didn’t think he could be more perfect 😻
XK has good taste. He has three pure bred large cats: Maine Coon (enormous, majestic, dense fur, long bushy tail, friendly, intelligent, playful), Ragdoll (gorgeous, mesmerizing blue eyes, gentle, docile, and affectionate), and Spynx (no hair, affectionate, energetic, intelligent). XK calls his Ragdoll cat "Princess". In an interview, he says he likes having them around him, but I don't see how he has time for his cats. They asked him about his cats in an interview, he said one of them eats a lot and another one is naughty. I've seen a commercial of his where he's selling product to do with cats. I think he's also into fish.
This time travel stuff reminds me of an episode of Star Trek where Captain Kirk went back in time and fell in love with a woman whom if he prevented her death, the future would completely change, millions of people would die. In one instance, he did prevent her from falling down the steep stairs, but later, she got hit by car, while Spock held Captain Kirk back from running across the street to save her.
In the same way, since Bian had already traded himself for Jinzhao in the past, history cannot be changed.
Baozi theory: Qi thinks Bian is like Jinzhao, both are steamed buns but with different fillings "They are the same soul but due to different experiences, they are essentially two different people."
Two Xu Kai's talking to each other, and I feel like I'm listening to two completely different people. I could listen to five Xu Kai's talking to each other. Can he please get an award for just that scene?
People who criticize Esther in this role don't realize what a great role this was for her. I believe this role pushed her acting range and she makes acting look so easy, and also, she got to experience flying and martial arts.
idc what anybody say, XU Kai & YU SHU really fit for their roles! 😅
The comments I 'm finding for Xu Kai can be said of that for Esther. Xu Kai performance would not be the same if not for Esther brilliant portrayal of Qi. His portrayal of Jinzhao reflected off her portrayal of Qi and vice versa, creating magic.
