Most people are still at episode 30 according to We TV and Viki.

I think some people are jealous of Esther because of her family background so they hate on her. Just like some people will hate on Xu Kai because he is so handsome. So for Esther and Xu Kai, they have to work harder to prove themselves. At least these two are not overrated.

I will watch it later. I have seen a few episodes. I just want to see how much of the gameplay was restored.

SAF6 was ranked #1 most watched Chinese drama its second and third week of airing (first week was at tail end of that week), that's more than 5 - 7 episodes. It was #1 on WeTV across 26 countries and that was after 5 - 7 episodes had aired.

WOL is doing well. The # watchers on MDL continues to steadily grow and is now at 11,533, but only 29% rated it. Why it's so low compared to SOKP 40% and AJTL 35%. Why do Xu Kai dramas have such low number of user ratings? and never once did WOL have more user ratings than watchers in a given day unlike another drama.
WOL did not get much hype and I have randomly come across few comments where people said they heard it was no good but tried it anyway and pleasantly found how good it was and glad they didn't listen to naysayers.
At 2.7 weeks of airing, WOL # MDL watchers were 7,694, Watching 8.79, Completed 8.27, and Overall 8.5, compared to SAF6 at 2.7 weeks, # MDL watchers 6,877, Watching 8.47, Completed 8.11, and Overall 7.8. Seems to me based on data, SAF6 rating should be at least 8.3.

WOL to me is cheated because the Watching 8.6, completed 8.72, yet the scoreboard is only 8.5. Must be the non-transparent non-technical components of the score that dragged it down.

WOL is doing really well on Viki too. I extrapolated that if # users increase by 50 per day, the total users will grow to 25,837 by end of 2024, maintain 9.5 rating. That makes it one of the top Viki drama for Xu Kai. I stopped tracking it but the last I did, it was growing average of 50 per day.

For some reason, users are less than 1,000 for SAF6 on Viki and tons of hateful comments. I stopped checking Viki comments.

I love your comments. It shows how engage you are and how much you are enjoying it. You always noticed all the little details. My impression is that Asian women avoid the sun. They will cover their face and hands. I recall Xu Kai wants to have more of a natural tan, so he says he stop wearing sunscreen. I hope he doesn't go to the extreme and ruin his skin. I don't think people need that much sun; it can be very damaging. When you age, the sunspots will start showing up. I bet Jin Tian never exposes her skin to the sun. She is so white. I love the style of the costumes and the hair styles in this drama, I find it simple and elegant, yet colorful and stylish.

His childhood nickname is soso which means people noticed he can do a lot of things easily. I supposed if he was a kid that the parent pushed him into music and acting, he may have rebelled and not become an actor today. Instead, we get to see a version of a person who is working hard, and his work is meaningful and purposeful to his life. I recall in an interview, he said his parents came into financial difficulty, so he had to drop out of school and took odd jobs to support his love of spending and did modeling. When he made money, he bought his parents a house.

He is still striving to improve his acting, but he has special quality about him.

A good predictor of the final rating is to look at the age group distributions.
If you normalize or rescale it to 100% and multiply the new % by respective ratings, the result is 8.29. This formula started out at 8.6 and has steadily dropped to 8.3. Most of the drop is coming from older viewers. The age group 25-34 started out as 9.0 and now is 8.4.
The middle age and retired age although represent small group dropped the most.
I noticed older viewers liked SAF4 more than SAF6. Even the core age group 18-24 went from 8.8 to 8.5. Initially, I thought the final score will be 8.5, now it seems more like 8.3.
I feel it should be higher. It will take volume of high scorers to push it back up.
this drama has a lot of unfair, biased low ratings pushing it down. Look at over at Viki all the hateful comments about Esther and pushing the rating down to 8.6. Xu Kai has never had a drama on Viki below 9.0 before.

I think part of the reason for lower ratings is that it is not a typical romance or fighting drama and some viewers may feel underwhelmed. Also, the director chose not to be overly dramatic with big emotional scenes. He preferred more mild and subtle tones as fitting the tone of this story. It could be that they respected the game too much and forgot about audience wants more impact from a drama. But it's a delicate balance since it's an adaptation. I think overall, the product is great (story, acting). Of course, it can always be better, but as far as adaptation goes, I doubt another one can beat this one. It more than met the gamer community expectations, yet still deliver a great drama to drama viewers. I feel the gamer community owe this production to raise the credit, like give an award or some recognition for outstanding adaptation ever made. They waited for many years to see their "Six" made into TV seris so more people can know it.

future viewers, do not read spoilers if you want to truly enjoy the drama. This story is a mystery and suspense with a ending that is just as mysterious and suspenseful as the story is.

in the game epilogue, the two are shown knowing each other.
That means they met and got to know each other again since Qi sacrificed all memory of her for JZH to come back.
But the other three no longer have memory of them nor do the JZH and Qi have memory of the other three, but that doesn't mean they can't get reacquainted again.
What the drama did was to leave the audience with some intrigue and mystery. In the drama, they bumped into each other, both had their fish pendants on them. Both stared at each other for long time and kept looking back at each other. It's a small town. You know they will get back together and they did in the game epilogue so that confirmed for me. The drama followed the game so closely, of course the ending is the same as the game epilogue where the two know each other, but the drama wanted a different twist, to make it more fascinating.

The ending is brilliant. Everything has closure, and just when you think it's too sad, they pull out a happy scene to satisfy you because you've already been through too much.
I hope someone will make a video of just the Esther and Xu Kai scenes.

If you go watch the game epilogue, this drama has the same ending as the game but shown in a different light. I like the drama way of handling it better, I feel it is an improved version while the game epilogue seemed to just hurriedly slap it together, the drama was meticulous and more well thought out and intriguing from storytelling perspective, but the ending is identical. In fact, the drama followed the last game scene to the T, and the actors acted accordingly.
For me, given all that has happened and what has to make sense and retain the theme, it is truly the best ending a story can have, ending like a masterpiece.

hopefully, as viewers complete the drama, they will rate this drama to boost the rating because this drama started off with a lot of very low ratings that needs to be diluted out.

I don't think the director expected them to do it that well, so he couldn't keep it.

I saw a bts where they are mad at each other and one takes her pillow throws it on the bed and lie down, the other throws his pillow on the floor and lie down. I hear the director in the background say cut, that was incredible, you two are so synchronized, it's like you know what the other is going to do.
