Sword and fairy 4 was better this one was more like Mehπππ
you remind me of the bullies on the school ground who used to taunt me when I was a kid if you want to discuss the two dramas, there is a page someone created to do that
For future viewers, below is from the game descriptions of the group of six characters. Bian Luo Huan who is also played by Xu kai is not mentioned below since he is the key to the mystery. 1. Yue Jinzhao (YJZ) is 18 yrs. old human with a mysterious origin in search of his identity. He can see glimpses of future with his left eye and there is a reason for this. He is tactful and knows his way around. He is very smart, capable, dependable, and tough character and later in the drama we find his fault that he can be overly confident. He teases Qi mercilessly but affectionately, adores her, protects and provides for her. They are not lovers but extremely close companions who have known only each other since waking up in a village together with no memory and wandering the "rivers and lakes" together. Even though he has a good grasp of the world around him despite no memory of past life, he doesn't understand his feelings for Qi or what intimacy is. How could he? But later on, they start to understand their feelings for each other and become more intimate. And as they experience life in this group, they start to understand relationships, emotions, and even what death is like. In terms of character development, this drama has it all. 2. Yue Qi is not human (it's obvious from the intro you see a pink whale spun into Qi) is 3 yrs. old in a teenage body, joins YJZ in search of her identity. She is straightforward, naive, cute and gullible, kind, pure and innocent heart, poor language and social skills, sounds childish and doesn't know it herself, but her ability to comprehend is very high. She doesn't understand the world around her and has no understanding of social norms or relationships especially between opposite sexes. How could she? She relies on YJZ a lot and follows his every order. She is also very powerful. There is a mystery to her too. Esther Yu portrayal of Qi is well done and believable as Qi, resembles Qi in the game in voice, mannerisms, and personality, and chemistry with YJZ. In fact, the entire cast did a great job restoring the characters. 3. Luo Zhaoyan is 23 yrs old human. She is the leader of the Luo Family and one of the twins. She is upright and benevolent. She is female but dressed as a male for a reason that is part of her mystery and will be reveal. The Luo family was cursed so the twins have short lifespans. There is more mystery surrounding her. 4. Xian Qing is a demon who can become a wolf and has lived more than 1,000 years. He likes to do things his way, but he is also easy-going, gentle and elegant. He is sensitive to his surroundings. Although he looks idle on the outside, he is calm and stable, and will spare no effort protecting his companions. He is interested in human life. He even gave up half of his cultivation of 1,000 yrs to some human. He watches over Ming Xiu as favor or maybe payback to her master who is also his good friend who plays chess with him, and so Ming xiu calls Xian Qing "uncle". 5. Ming Xiu is human 18 yrs. old. She was saved by her master Gu Hanjiang when the God of the Mountain slaughtered the residents of her village. She is gentle, polite, and clever. Because of her childhood memories, she grew to dislike "monsters" or non-humans (except Xian Qing). 6. Ju Shifang is human. He is chief engineer of Zhengwu sect in Jing'an. His mother was a master Constructs builder within Hengdao Society. He is introvert and timid, and easily get teased and bully by others. He dreams of becoming a respectable hero and the story will allow him to realize his dream.
They kind of follow the ending of the game but with a little twist π I will interpret it as happy-open ending
I think I will be okay with the game ending because a 100% happy ending would probably tank the ratings.. After all the "I want to live with you forever" in the drama, I can't believe they would make it unbearable for the audience. Spare us a piece of heart.
I got some things straight, BLH from now went back three years using the Mist Soul, and exchanged himself for…
you see how brilliant this storytelling is, it gets the audience involved instead of just sitting back and watching. it is the kind of story that makes people discuss it
BLH really is forgotten π Gosh rewatching this drama will make it so heartbreaking. All his scenes have a completely…
Qing Mu character story is much happier than BLH. Qing Mu had happy times with Shanggu, when he knew he will disappear when Bai Jue is back, he was okay if he could even have a day with Shanggu, he got to have a beautiful wedding night that produced a child and his memory lived on in minds and hearts, but BLH is the epitome of an unfortunate and tragic life, not even a memory of him will live on and the life he lived was already so tragic and sad.
Bian luohuan will always stays in my heart πππ..who else agrees ..
Just like a computer, you think you erased something, it's not really gone. I read that Bian memories are still with Long Tan where he was erased, there is still record of him there.
Elementary school children can enjoy it but I wouldn't say they will understand it. This drama is so much more…
Gao and Ming characters were a bit of comedy; other than their insignificant roles, there was light humor as in all dramas, but not comedy. The gameplay has even more humorous lines and interactions between the characters than the drama - and I can't stress how funny some of the interactions were.
Can someone explain what's blh character is like?? He is good guy or bad guy??? He and fl were lovers in past…
This drama is not a love story but much more than that. The themes are actually quite profound. Don't think of the romantic feelings as a love story. There is love. There is romance in terms of feelings for each other. The love and bonds the pairs share give meaning to this story and the drama did such a great job of showing the feelings, that you might think it is love story but it's really just the backdrop to greater meaning that will be revealed when the mysteries are unraveled. The ending will be as intriguing as the story itself. The story is unique and not your typical drama you will watch.
Ok, now I'm a bit lost. The orbs that Qi mom's has absorved were provided by the very same guys who now are trying…
The orbs provide energy to Kun (Qi's mom) but since it comes from human beings, it also contains dark energy that she knows will eventually cause her to go out of control and do evil. They didn't know this when they first gave her the orbs (orbs were contaminated with dark energy). The Hendao Society is providing it to her through the Qiyuna Sect which they later destroyed once that mission was accomplished - it's not right to kill humans. They have been working together with Luo's on a common cause even though both have own motivations. This is a Time Space Loop story and those involved in the plan already have known that she would lose control, that's why they have been working on a plan together and Qi and Jin Z are part of this plan but don't know. After I started to catch on to the story, I went back to past episodes and found that the drama has a lot of foreshadowing from the very beginning, things were explained in the introduction, and from episode 1, things were slowly revealed as the story progressed, but it may not be apparent initially as it is rather complicated and lot to understand. What the story won't tell you is how it will all play out, that is the ultimate mystery must watch to the end to appreciate this drama. It was adapted from a game and dropped the viewer smacked in the middle of the story which once you know the entire story, it is a brilliant beginning to the story, and followed the format of the game to provide mystery and suspense. People rating it down have no understanding and cannot appreciate it, that's why ratings are not very accurate sometimes. The story is about these characters, so it makes sense to focus so much on them. The characters are rich and will leave a lasting impression on you when you think back to the story, each with own distinct personality, backstory, and motivations. The relationships, interactions, character development are rich.

1. Not a routine ancient puppet but a rare anti-routine fairy
2. The setting is not "immortal".
3. The protagonist
