Did you not watch Li Ni tell her he was sorry for not believing her and tried so many ways to win her back? Finally, she accepted his flowers and he eavesdrop and heard her say to Taozi that if it was anyone else, she would not be this mad, but because Li Ni is not just anyone else. When Li Ni heard that, he felt content knowing that the reason she was that mad at him was because she loved him that much. Li Ni understood how hurt she was, and he tried to mend their relationship. She never colluded to harm his army.
the last episode after she told him she's pregnant, Li Ni went from (and I think this is Xu Kai injecting his own goofy personality into the scene) being goofy to astonishment to amazement to pure joy, his eyes swelled up with tears and hugged her.

wow, so this really is a fairytale of a movie. I'm still at episode 16 but that's okay. I probably watch this movie twice in its entirety when all the episodes are available to me. I just want to enjoy the beautiful production and the sweet romance.

I had read comments before that Ying need to get over being mad; after all, Ni Li lost half of his army but what Ying says in these lines explains why she was so mad at him, if you get what she means, and shows how much she does care about him: Ying: "Actually, I know he wants to apologize, and I shouldn't be mad at him. If he were someone else, I wouldn't be so mad; however, he is not anyone else". Li Ni hiding nearby eavesdrop on her and upon hearing this, contentment and satisfaction overtakes him.. his persistence to win back her heart worked. Of course, she is still scheming to escape but Li Ni already ahead of her game.
