I just saw a clip that seems to indicate she doesn't know his identity until he charges into the battlefield while people all around are yelling, 'The Marquis of Wu’an has arrived!' She turns around stunned seeing him. I think it's ep. 26/27. Of course, she's mad as hell since she had drugged him and took his place on the battlefield, probably he's still injured and she try to protect him from going himself - she seems to have this impression of him being an ordinary, sickly, and weak man needing her care and protection. She can fight since she is stronger than any man. I think it is precisely that she is so strong that she thinks her husband is weak.

It doesn't really feel like a historical, just because they are all wearing historical attire. It feels more like a fantasy drama and the romance has a modern feel to it.
So how did the little girl know the big bad man was in the cave? It's heavily guarded. I can't blame the FL and her men wanting to kill the big bad man after what he did, and if anyone is "dumb", he is, and he deserves a thousand deaths hurting a child. However, in ep 25, as enjoyable as it was, I felt something was missing because it ended so abruptly, and there they were, back at camp with the spoils, and the ML still pretending. It brings to mind, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”
I'm just starting ep 25 and enjoy these funny moments. The actor who plays the military strategist with the fan, his reaction to the FL is funny. The more extreme they make it, the bigger the moment will be when the truth all comes out. The FL is assertive and a quick thinker. When he said they moved her “husband” to a private tent, she immediately asked why only him. Then she pushed for more than just praise and walked away with silver. And when she said it wasn’t enough to share—because she’s always thinking about others—he ended up giving her a whole bag. Her choices come from kindness, but they always end up working in her favor.
Even without knowing his motivations, this is one of those common drama situations where a character has lied/hidden…

it's because the FL thinks she's invincible, that's how her character comes across to me, she not afraid of anything, remember how she just threw herself off the cliff, even with a smirk on her face. She's portrayed as this invincible, unstoppable character who can do anything and does. almost superhero qualities.

i think in ep 16 or so, ML told FL, his background is none of her business, not in those exact words but that was what I took away from it. I thought that was a bit callous of him to say that to her even though I understand why he said it.
