I went into this completely blind and oh my i did not know what mental gymnastics i was going right into. Absolutely mind bending plot but also gory at times so it depends if you can handle that. Would definitely recommend
Every episode will leave you staring at your ceiling in deep thought. Beautifully written to the point where each episode is a masterpiece of its own. Its about life, love, aspirations, and every challenge you might face. A love letter to women all over the world.
This is one of the only Japanese dramas where the male lead's condescending attitude towards the female lead doesnt get brushed off as a silly personality trait. The show does a brilliant job at showing how the "cold male lead" evolves and begins to understand his emotions, which eventually leads to a mature and fleshed out character who's ready enough for commitment. The character growth is the best trait here and communication doesnt get brushed off either, which despite the silly nature of the show, is done well.
This season, contrary to how the fandom treats it, is actually the best from the show: although the relationship doesn't work out, it perfectly illustrates the problems of each character and how sometimes "liking" someone isnt enough to keep things going. Both characters are clearly on different paths and have different interpretations of what it means to be in a relationship and I think this season shows it very well. Such a good conclusion and ending
The beginning was actually pretty down my alley and i surprisingly enjoyed how the show focuses on multiple characters and how their relationships (romantic) evolve. However, towards the end it became too boring by the 3rd confession. This format wouldve worked for a longer season but it just simply felt rushed and very condensed since the writers preferred to give every character a "happily ever after relationship".
