I believe it is because the brother of the emperor who is sick is the bad guy here and he was the one who had them punished. he probably wanted to kill them with the nether beast too if I had to guess but we will find out.

this drama had a slow start for my taste but definitely liking the prince annan episodes

you might like dream within a dream if you like this genre but hate the typical ending though this one didn’t have a bad ending either

yeah could be worse ;; so far I have only seen 2 dramas like this where they both solidly aknowledge that they know one another
