100% Agree! He is very sweet so far in this one! Yeah from what I heard of the novel he sounds horrible xx....so glad they changed it. I wonder what the authors think when the dramas do this sometimes. Has to be strange haha

unfortunately some like eternal fragrance I think it was took forever to actually get released after delay…:( I really want to see this one so bad so I hope it won’t be too much longer. This is my #1 most anticipated atm.

At first I thought Du was interested in the ML (for a better life mainly) but it kind of is starting to look like the siblings actually dislike him

The plot is slow paced yet doesn’t feel slow paced because it is packed with good writing. It keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next episode because it is so good! People in general seem to be iffy about the male lead, but so far he is written differently from the novel and a green flag rather than a red flag. However, he will be doing some selfish things in the plot that hasn’t happened yet. That is pretty normal in dramas where one or both characters are a little bit to actually bad and make mistakes. Other than that I can’t really think of anything bad to say about the show.

Revisiting this one it really was a fantastic and a very whimsical fantasy story. I decided to rate it a little higher (8.5 to an 10) After some time passed, it turns out this actually is in my top 3 favorites. Something about it makes it unique compared to other wuxias and it has beautiful sets.

You can watch ep 13 and 14 if subscribed to wetv/tencent. That is the main broadcasting company. Viki is also broadcasting it but they are not caught up since they are not the main broadcaster. They will keep being behind.

I don’t think he really knew until the day he caught the man dressed as a woman walking away from the place she would always go to. At least that is what I gathered from his reaction. Then he started thinking back to the night they got married and probably thought it all made sense why she did not want to be with him then and all those years.

He is very much a green flag so far at least but there has been not too much interaction between him and the female lead through episode 14. Not sure how things will get after they start getting more involved. He seems to be very upstanding and empathetic so far and great/loyal to good people. For whatever reason I have tried reading some c-novels in the past after liking dramas but the male leads are always different and actually very toxic in them compared to shows 😅I was to get into them because I like the shows so much and that is the original works (the books), but how can I when the show makes them so much better and the plot makes more sense?😅
