Well, it's a left a little bit open ended about when he dies, whether he left, or whether she does go with him, spending his remaining time with him. (I like to think she does, having left the guild) I guess they wanted to leave it up to the audience to decide on these things. But yeah, I think we can probably assume he does die sometime after it ends.
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
Yeah sort of. But not a deep one. Second male lead likes the female lead. She never feels the same way about him. Ultimately ML and SML end up being friends anyway.
Leads get together in episode 16/17. Though there are lots of great scenes before then. They "break up" (its complicated) in episode 19/20. They still interact with each other and have a push-pull dynamic but dont reconcile what happened until episode 29.
Is there a happy ending? Uh not really. Its OE/SE. (But the seeds were sown for this throughout the whole thing. Drama is still very worth it despite this)
I would say by episode 8 attraction and affection is already developing, imo. Most of their interactions at that…
I think its right to say his attraction to her started first.
I do think there was a certain degree of sexual tension between them from early on. But I think epsiode 7 and definitely ertain things that happen in episode 8 is where it really begins to show from her side.
Some shows I need mild spoilers to look forward to. Could anyone give me a hint when friendship, affection, or…
I would say by episode 8 attraction and affection is already developing, imo. Most of their interactions at that point gave off that tension for me personally. And this continues to develop even more in the episodes after that. (8-12) by episode 13 its definitely developed into feelings and by episode 16 and 17 they have both fully fallen for each other.
on epi 10 but i am still struggling to watch does it get better or not??
I loved it from the beginning and was hooked. If you're not enjoying it at all now, maybe this one just isn't for you. Or give it a few more episodes and see how you feel. The leads romance really starts to build from episode 11/12
guys on ep 33 rn and heard the ending. should I drop it? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜and it's getting boring now
I think if you've come this far, you might as well finish it. I thought the last part, the last 5 or 6 episodes did a good job of tying up the storylines (revenge arc) and were good episodes with drama and some action too. Worth it even if the ending was not the one I was hoping for. Not to mention LYN and ZLS really give a beautiful performance in those episodes.
Unless of course you really don't want to finish it, in which case, don't. 😅
OK, so I have finished watching it. I can say there were some issues in editing in the last two episodes just…
Happy to hear your thoughts on it now that you've finished. I agree, it's a really beautiful drama, despite some editing and writing issues in the back half.
And hey, as she left the guild at the end, maybe she went to follow him before he passed. (I suppose thats where the OE element comes in for many of us)
A very sad but kind of open ending (to a degree) The ML can't be cured of his poison and is going to die, but we don't see it on screen. He plans to leave so Duan Wu doesn't see it. She begs him to stay, and thats the last we see of him. She then seems to leave her business and resigns as head of the jewelry guild. Whether that's to follow him/be with him, or to go her own way, is left up to the audience to decide.
40 years later, she has travelled the world and been successful in business. (Assumedly the ML probably died long before then)
She immediately resigned as head of the guild and gave her business to CSJ, and travelled, I think it's fair that some people assume she may have left to follow him.
Either way, he died at some point after though.
(The jewelry competition was only a couple days later. I don't think he was so ill that he died in that time)
It's open in the sense that he plans on leaving so she doesn't see him die but she begs him to stay. Then we don't see him again, leaving it open to whether he left or not. She then resigns her position as jewelry guild head and travels, whether she's with him, or left to go find him or is on her own is left up to the audience to decide.
We only know that 40 years later she's travelled the world and been successful in the business industry. At what point he dies, we don't know.
It's kind of an OE, but a sad one. Yan Zijing planned on leaving because he doesn't want her to see him deteroriate…
Yes, Ning-Ge actually kind of did tell us the ending this time, literally! 🤣 It's not what I wanted at all obviously... but i'm choosing to believe they did spend some amount of time together before he finally did die. He wasn't blind at the end yet, so there was some amount of time. #copiumðŸ˜

Yes, she had a long life in the business industry and saw the world in that time. We don't know if Yan Zijing did end up leaving or staying, or maybe they travelled together. And we don't know at what point he died.

If anything she seemed closer to Kang Ju at the end. 😂
