HIGHLY RECOMMENDED CDRAMA 🎀❤️💯it's the best pairing i have seen in his cdrama with their visuals and chemistry. minghao and ai mi really expressed their heartwrenching affection for one another beautifully. this is a story of war, politics and romance with an easy to follow story plot and it feels like live action donghua with 28 episodes with happy ending. recommended to casual fans who likes romance cdramas.
minghao is goddamn swoon-worthy as a badass general with his captivating face, his fight scenes were so friggin' cool with all his stunts masterfully performed by himself. he has always done the tragic hero archetype right, and in this drama he makes you feel inexplicable heartache for him. the role is perfect for minghao he looked convincingly in kind admiration for his young partner.
minghao mentioned in their promotion the most popular comment by cnetizens is "少女就该少女来演". casting young actress for certain roles is standard practice for some cdramas e.g., wuxia, xianxia, for the aesthetics. if the young actress is talented she will tug heartstrings to cherish and protect her like how it's narrated in the story. ai mi is the perfect actress for this female lead role.
