Personally, to me he doesn't seem to be bound to any platform.. From 2020 to 2022, both of the dramas he did were released on Netflix, but he also has an Amazon Prime drama coming next year, alongside his Disney/netflix projects this year and next year.. it's like he's the type of actor who chooses projects based on the script and the character rather than having the platform in mind. so no matter where it's released, if he likes the project, he'll do it lol

The casting announcement literally says Ro Tae U sees Heo Hak Seong as an obstacle from the academy so he’s directly tied to the male lead’s storyline as well.....he's going to have a pretty significant opposing presence aka he's going to be some kinda of rival to the ml. We’ll have to wait for more details but based on the casting announcement alone he definitely a key rival not just a supporter of ml's rival afaik
