EVERYONE IS LYING, ITS BADDDD
I watched this drama after seeing all the glowing reviews, and honestly, I was so disappointed. Everyone kept talking about how funny it was, but I didn’t find any of it funny? Sure, there was a part where she trips him, which I guess some people might think is humorous, but it just didn’t do it for me. I feel like I got tricked into watching it.
The plot was also a letdown. At first, I thought it was going to be about how anyone can be bad, regardless of gender, which would’ve been interesting. But no, it just turned into both main characters being sexist and judgmental towards the opposite gender. While some of the stuff they said is worth talking about, the way they handled it was just bad. He hates women, she hates men, but somehow, they don’t hate each other? Really?
The romance made no sense either. She starts off not trusting him, thinking he’s a creep, to the point where she stalks him just because she saw him talking to a younger girl—which felt totally obsessive and unnecessary. Then, out of nowhere, she’s okay with him kissing her? Where’s the character development? One second she hates him, and then, suddenly, they’re in love? It felt rushed and forced.
And don’t even get me started on that cringe line, “You’re not like other girls.” Seriously, who wrote this script?
The second couple’s storyline wasn’t any better. At first, I thought they were cute, but then it got frustrating. The guy was too scared to tell her he liked her, even after she basically gave him four chances to admit it. Grow up and just say something! His confession in the last episode was even worse. He gets down on one knee to ask her to be his girlfriend? It was so awkward—you’re not proposing, get up!
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this drama. I honestly don’t get why people liked it so much, aside from the fact that it touched on gender roles, which was refreshing but completely overshadowed by a bad story. If you’re looking for something worth your time, watch "My Sweet Mobster" instead—that one was actually good. Don’t waste 10 hours on this.
