Just… weird
I felt so uncomfortable throughout the whole thing… I have two dogs and I kept looking at them and thinking: “These are my babies… It’s like they’re my own children”, which means that even if they showed up one day looking like Seo Kang Joon or Jung Hae In, I would still feel a MOTHERLY love towards them. So excuse me for finding the whole “dating your pet” concept extremely weird.Milk and Uncle’s relationship was easier to digest because 1) Uncle didn’t know Milk was a cat in a human’s body; 2) he himself did not raise the damn cat. But Jung Woo and Choco? Nah, bro… That’s just not it.
The plot had potential if it’d gone in a different direction, like leaning more towards them helping Jung Woo find romantic love with someone else, as in playing cupid.
Acting was lacking too, Milk was probably the best out of the four, but still cringey.

well… that was frustrating
- the first half was SOOOO interesting and promising, I was pleasantly surprised since historical dramas aren’t generally my thing. I think that’s why I’m so frustrated now smh;- things started going downhill on the second half though. everything seemed repetitive and all over the place. I feel like if you don’t know a bit about korean history or just war history in general, it gets progressively confusing with each episode;
- TOO FREAKING LONG!!!! both the drama itself and the episodes. at one point, the intros were 10-minute recaps of the previous episodes’ endings. just unnecessary and made it that much more dragging and repetitive;
- seonho: a bit too complex in my opinion, to the point where you couldn’t really read him or fully understand his intentions. with that being said: woo dohwan never disappoints! his acting is top tier, I feel like he doesn’t get enough praise and recognition for it;
- hwi: a boring hero! either underdeveloped or badly interpreted (I’ve only watched one other drama with yang sejeong before so I don’t have much to compare to). he always looked way too nice and not fierce or blood-thirsty enough for someone seeking revenge;
- huijae: she had major potential in the beginning, but became just as boring as hwi. this is my first time watching seolhyun’s acting so, once again, don’t really have much to compare to, but I feel like she couldn’t really exude the confidence that was needed for the role;
- overall, the production and the rest of the cast’s acting was really good. and even though near the end I just couldn’t wait to be done with it, I did enjoy it a lot at one point.
