CX's confession was so sad. I pity him. The person he loves and want, he cannot have. In fact, a lot of things he want, he cannot have. To be in such position of power, he have to sacrifice his happiness and basically well being. He holds too much responsibility. This season is definitely his season, and I love that for him. 😭 TSJ, my favorite out of the three ML, uggghg. I just wish he grows some more balls and speak up, and at least DO something, instead of just standing in the background and moping around. 😤 And then, my XL too. No words...none. My heart just breaks for him too. 😭

Yang Kang is not outright evil towards Mu Nian Ci, but his feelings for her seem more like infatuation or obsession rather than genuine love. Their relationship is complex because they stand on opposing sides hence their conflicting loyalties and views. Yang Kang's actions are often driven by his ambition and self-interest which is different from Mu Nian Ci's integrity and righteousness. While he shows moments of affection, majority of the time he is just possesive and controlling. He is an antagonist in the story.
