After today's episode, don't tell me Shengyi is going back to that of a bastard husband Wang Qin. That man is never going to change even after being humiliated like that by our Mudan. I am feeling as frustrated as Mudan is. I really can't defend Shengyi anymore. Like, you made the mistake of going back to him once and see that he isn't going to change- you have a choice now, please, girl, LEAVE HIM!

I agree! I get frustrated too, when the ML isn’t there to help, especially when the FL is in a dire situation. Sometimes I just want that 'knight in shining armor' moment, and honestly, it would be nice to see her get that more often than she does.

But, I think the story is trying to show how capable the FL is. From the start, we’ve seen her handle tough situations on her own. She’s smart and strong enough to turn things around without always needing someone to save her, which I think is pretty refreshing.

Also, the ML has other priorities right now. It’s clear that his focus is on his bigger plans, which is why he’s not always around for her. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t care—it’s just that saving her isn’t his main focus. But I have a feeling we’ll see them working together more- can't get enough of their antics, putting on acts. As their problems start to overlap (like how in today's episode, MD is going after the same people as JCY), I think they’ll realize they’re better off working as a team.

Season 2?

I was thinking she might even go crazy and kill off Wang Qing 🤷‍♀️

Ji Yun and Eun Ho gives me butterflies but I have second lead syndrome. I really like Su Hyeon. Also visually her and Eun Ho looks good together too 🤦‍♀️

Apart from Sa Ding Ding's ost in here, Bu Cai's "Under the moon" is also really good. It really is so sentimental and carries a sense of yearning and longing 😭

I also don't understand the hate towards Sheng Yi either. My feelings toward her were mostly pity because she was stuck in a deeply abusive relationship with a man who would beat the shit out of her for even minor defiance. She's hurt and broken, and that kind of trauma doesn’t just vanish simply because she met Mudan, who offers her warmth, love, and care. Sheng Yi definitely has a lot of growing to do, but what really prevents her from becoming the person we want to see her to be is Wang Qing's constant reappearance and manipulation.

To us, it might feel like she's betraying Mudan or setting her back by going back to Wang Qing, but from her perspective, those years of abuse left scars that never fully healed, making it easier for her to fall back into old patterns. She’s incredibly realistic in this way because, sadly, women like her exist in the real world today. It’s heartbreaking, but also a reminder of the complexity of trauma and how it really affects someone’s actions. Al in all, I really do hope that Sheng Yi does eventually learn and grow and realize that Wang Qing is a pice of shit

Honestly, I get it—Fu Ling is evil. She’s done so many horrible, unforgivable things that redemption feels impossible. But now that it’s confirmed she’s actually Bai Xi, it makes you wonder—what really happened to her? And yeah, she can be so annoying sometimes, always pulling these sinister moves and causing chaos left and right. But even with all of that, I just can’t bring myself to hate her. Instead, I feel this weird sense of pity for her. If she’s been manipulated by the "Eternal" or is it that she is surrounded by all these terrible people who’d kill her at the first sign of weakness, it makes you wonder if she’s just been living in constant fear. She's probably going to have a redemption—but not a full “I’m good now” moment, but maybe a tragic one, like sacrificing herself to make up for everything. It’s sad, but at this point it is the only way her story can end.

You know who’s really getting annoying now? Chong Zhao. He’s so convinced he’s this righteous savior, always acting like he’s doing the noble thing by being a double agent. And let’s not forget how he keeps acting like he’s the only good thing in Bai Shou’s life, as if she can’t make her own decisions or find strength without him. At least Fu Ling knows she’s evil and doesn’t hide behind a facade. But with Chong Zhao, everything feels fake, like he’s projecting this image of being the “good guy” while ignoring the consequences of his actions.

I really need Chong Zhao to take a hard look at himself and realize he’s not as righteous as he thinks he is. And that not everyhting is black and white. He needs to stop thinking he’s above everyone else and start considering other people’s feelings—especially Bai Shou’s. Like boy c'mon, I am trying to like you lol

Oh no! Why can't tragedies just happen without the death of any loved ones of Mudan. She literally needs a break for like the entire drama 😭

At this point, the only thing keeping me invested in Moonlight Mystique is seeing how Fu Ling and Chong Zhao’s story unfolds. It’s clear their journey is headed for tragedy, and while I’m not usually a fan of toxic relationships, the sizzling chemistry between them is hard to ignore. The actors have executed their roles so well that it’s impossible to look away, even when their dynamic feels destructive. That said, I can’t imagine how Fu Ling and Chong Zhao could ever find redemption, and maybe that’s part of the intrigue. Fu Ling absolutely steals every scene she’s in and leaves such a strong impression

I’m sad to say I’m dropping this one despite starting it with high hopes, mainly because of my admiration for Vin Zhang since his 3L3W days. Unfortunately, this drama just isn’t working for me. Unlike so many others on here, I can’t feel any spark or romance between the leads. Even the core trio lacks chemistry or camaraderie, which makes their dynamic fall flat.

That said, I do love the idea of a strong, seductive female lead like Sun Zhenni’s Holy Maiden of the Dark Abyss—she’s unique, and Sun Zhenni is undeniably talented. However, her portrayal starts feeling repetitive and overly dramatic, which dampens the initial impact. The plot doesn’t help either—it’s way too predictable, and the memory loss trope (one of my least favorite tropes) really dragged things down for me.

It’s a shame because the potential was there, but I just couldn’t connect with this one 🌸

Damn, I have really underestimated Miles Wei abilities as an actor. LOL I haven't really watched his work and only seen him here and there in some support roles and thought he's handsome and an average actor... but dang, he blew me away with his acting as the momma/daddy boy and scumbag of a husband role. Everything about his character just makes my blood boils! Yang Zi never fails and continues to outdo herself evrytime. And Li Xian continues to steal every scene he's in!

Is it just me, or am I the only odd one out who just cannot feel the chemistry between the leads? Like, I absolutely love how headstrong and powerful our MXL is—she’s such a perfect match for our strong, righteous, and stoic XXC. It’s a classic ‘righteous vs. evil’ love story, and everything about them should click, but for the life of me, I just don’t feel it. Even with all the skinship moments, it’s just not hitting. Honestly, all I care about is the second male lead—he’s so elegant in every way he moves, and there’s such an air of mystery about him. Maybe I’m just hopelessly stuck in second male lead syndrome because he’s stealing all my attention. Ugh, why are they always written so heartbreakingly perfect?
