just started watching this, going in blind based on the description and everyone raving about this but the first 15 minutes of ep 1were so confusing and hard to follow lol but my expectations are high
this episode kinda pissed me off lol since the time skip happened i'm starting to enjoy the show less and less, i miss the mysterious and dark vibes of the first few eps (back when i still thought big jane was an actual demon lol) now it's kinda like a toxic circle of breaking up and getting back together
You said it.Have you noticed the second series of a popular BL Pairing is often subpar (below average)?I think…
you might have a point here, i feel like thai bls often rely on good chemistry/acting of established couple to carry lazy writing (the heart killers comes to mind or anything with joong dunk tbh π¬) . i'm not familiar with boatoat but sorry to hear that their 2nd series is also suffering from this
this was the weakest ep so far π¬ the parents piss me off so bad, and the tennis part of the plot makes no sense…
anyways can't wait till we ditch the stupid ass conflinct and start getting more scenes of THEM, you know the actual couple of their own show, instead of the annoying, immature fathers fighting (the moms and the kids need to gang up and carry an intervention at this point fr)
this was the weakest ep so far π¬ the parents piss me off so bad, and the tennis part of the plot makes no sense (how is a national athlete losing to a guy that has not touched a racket in years??? why is the coach letting them play till exhaustion and injured???), the chemistry and the potential are there, but the writing is so lazy and inconsistent (the usual gmmtv curse i fear π¬)
i think i have to give up on this one, i watched the last ep on 2x speed and that wasn't enough to keep me engaged π¬this should've been a mini series or a movie tbh, nothing is happening, yes they're adorable and in love but there's no plot progression and no character building whatsoever π¬ too bad they're wasting a good cast and good chemistry on a weak series π¬
at this point idk who to trust lol i think it would've been so fucking cool if kaye was actually the murderer but the writers are not brave enough to commit to the DID/multiple personalities plot, can't wait for next tuesday tho!!!
i don't know why but it's not hitting for me, i love maxkybas, and maxky is so funny and so charming here but idk maybe it's because i'm not a gamer lol i'm probably gonna continue tho but i hope their next series is something with more interesting script
adding to 4th point- i agree with what some people wrote in the comments below, the romantic scenes feel a bit…
This whole queerbaiting mess annoys me even more because: 1. i'm queer lol 2. both dew and tee have already played in bls before and I think they wouldn't have had any problem if this series was written as a bl, however i do not know them personally so i don't wanna assume more, maybe they don't want to go the bl route bc of their freindship/relationship in real life or whatever
tl;dr this is a good show with inconsistent writing lol
a lot of rambling but i literally have no one to talk to about this lol
thoughts after this ep:1. thun deserved to get his ass beat, hes pmo so bad2. tee you are a gorgeous man3. phat…
adding to 4th point- i agree with what some people wrote in the comments below, the romantic scenes feel a bit forced and disconnected from the plot, and this is not dewtee's fault, but the fault of the writers.
we can clearly and consistently see that tee's character feels some type of way about kay from the beginning (the smiles, the glances etc), however up to this last eposide i couldn't feel any indication that kaye feels the same about phat, and now all of a sudden we get this ep filled with bl coded scenes and it kinda feels inconsitent. It would make so much more sense if the drama was directed either in a purely bromance way without these scenes, or if it was kept as more of a one sided type of interest (like i've interpreted it so far).
Not to rope skynani into this but in case of WU the (silent b)romance made more sense for the plot bc of the soul bonding, here it starts to feel a bit *head scratching emoji*.
Again this is not the actors' fault, they're doing a great job with the material they're provided - the creators are to blame for trying to capitalise on bl fans by not fully committing to either genre and trying to keep things vague on purpose.
