I read the novel as well because I am a huge fan of Zhu Yi's works ever since Hidden Love. TFF novel is good, I do like it but this specific part in the story is what I didn't like. When I found out there was going to be a drama for it, I was excited yet worried at the same time on how this scene will play out in the drama, it already left a bitter taste in my mouth in the written material what more if I see it with my actual own eyes. So I liked this changed in the drama and preferred it a lot more, in my opinion they made Sang Yan handle the whole situation better.
