in the book mike is mings only family that accepts their relationship he helps them out big time during mings family situation which will happen probs eps 10-12
in the novel when wut and sol find out its real joe wut punches him a few times and they all start crying and hugging each other its very emotional and then wut gets a call that they found joes body so they all go to see it and ming is already there its such a sad scene 😔then ming finds out by tricking joe to enter the condo with the spare key while thinking no one is inside but when he enters he sees ming and thats when ming knows its real joe he starts sobbing and hugging joe pleading him to stay and telling him hes sorry which goes on for a few chapters then starts mings family problems which i think will start in ep 9 or 10
idk i love ming so much the fact that he recreates their old memories to try and confirm that hes the real joe speaks so much for itself i love his determination to find the truth and that he believed joe is still alive after so long he doesn’t let anyone talk bad about joe and ya he realized his feelings too late but imagine losing the one you love most and have the guilt from the past swallow you up for years where everyone is also telling you to get over it
i realllyyyy wish they would have made the scenes where everyone found out its joe to be more dramatic cuz it didnt hit as hard as it did in the novel 😭i hope the scene where they see his body has all characters sobbing

yes in the novel they found his body but i wouldn’t be surprised if they change it in the series as a lot of things have already been changed from the original
in conclusion i just really love ming
