Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
So i gave in and started reading the eng translationof the novel..Let's just say it's the same but it's not? 😅A…
Love the drama but kinda think their journey to falling in love was more fleshed out and felt more organic in the novel. Also think if they didn't change ml character from the novel would have been fine because either way he is truly devoted to her.His initial hesitation to open up to her in the npvel made kinda sense because he was fighting alone for a long time.Loving the drama but cant help but unconciously compare to ml's character in the novel.

you definitely nailed what i wanted to say.I have same thoughts as yours but couldn't write them down properly. Due to excitement of this drama i read the novel upto the capital arc ,but i am little bit sad they kinda toned down his intelligence and character. But still am enjoying the drama

Bro, I love them together. After reading a bit of the novel, I really love how Zhao Ling treasures and treats…
definitely but they have dumbed and toned him down a bit (dude was a beast in the novel).they also have made fl more bolder compared to novel.she felt like a lady from ancient china in the novel whereas here she feels like a modern woman(not a problem, just my observation)

Hence why I try to keep adaptations and novel plots separate to limit my disappointment...Nine out of ten times…
you are right,i also try to keep novels and drama different to avoid dissapointment but was expecting small changes here and there but i felt they changed the leads whole interaction dynamics. The drama is good for me but i unconsiously compare it to the novel. There are some novels i also dont read because the drama is too good and peoples review say that they toned down the bad aspects of certain characters.so to avoid ruinning my experience of a great drama i avoid the novel. Here i read the novel first so i compare it to the drama.Overall i think the drama is quite good upto now.

Raise your hand if you're a simp and want to be volun-told to join a dangerous enterprise, go undercover and root…
I definitely agree but I hope she faces some consequences for making decisions on his behalf without explanation.its the reverse trope of ml doing what he thinks is best for FML without considering her feelings.

How different is it from novel
Very different, she doesn't try to run away from him like in 6th ep.she and his close friends scheme a little to make him change his ways.she is a sheltered young lady but grows along the journey.havent read the novel fully but read up to when she reaches the capital.

I used to see people saying drama is not good compared to novel, finally I experienced it myself.why did they have to change their characteristics so much.she is smart but learning along the journey and he is well cold (expected from a person fighting and scheming all his life) but learns to give in to her.it was beautiful seeing their journey to capital.now haha I don't even know what to say.

Title Love for You
The issue is not that Miao Jing had ex-boyfriends. The issue is the double standard. I have noticed this pattern…
Exactly i feel the same.Fl dated in their seperation its normal but ml wont love or date anyone else except the Fl.I think its a trend in cdramas to have ML with 0 romatic history. They will have hot, rich ML but also make sure that they have never dated.
