Girl you planned well.. I saw the spoiler, and apparently she didn't even fall in love with ML until after they married, which was near the end of the drama. Like damn, aint no way I am watching 20+ episodes, wasting roughly 15-20 hours of my life to see one character being disrespected again and again. At that point, if I were ML I would have just moved on and found someone new.

Blossoms of Power and Royal Betrothal.

Have to put it in spoilers or their fandom will come for me. These two drama pisses me the heck off. I wanted my time back that I spent on them 😂

Especially Blossoms of Power. Like, please hold your love interest accountable for the crap that they do and stand up for yourself. Like, why are you strict and willing to kill those that disrespect you but remain a doormat when the mistreatment is from the person you love? What?? Where did your self-respect go?

The fact that people were going crazy for this drama when it aired left me speechless.

I don't really mind green flags but the green flags that pisses me off are the one that let their love interest walk all over them *cough* recently finished airing drama *cough*. Like where is your dignity and pride? Or the green flags that lets their love interest do what ever the heck they want just because they are the love interest (while if another character were to do the same, they would be in deep trouble). Like bias much?

Complex characters are so much more fun to watch

Same. I couldn't do it with one episode a day, so I decided to wait until the weekend. Definitely worth it! We got introduced to so many characters this week, and they are all going to play vital roles going forward. I can't wait to see how our main couple will outsmart all these characters. Got me a little nervous since we are near the end soon. I'm not ready for it.

It really depends on what your definition of heavy is. It's a lot of mind games. This is one of those dramas that's better to watch when it's done airing, or else it'll drive you insane with all the waiting.

I do love that everyone here is clever. So far the concubine is pretty fun for me to watch. She knows when to manipulate and pull back. That's why Mrs. Yu said that she is more sensible. Just hope that she doesn't give us too much of a headache in future episodes. Although I don't think that will be the case 😂

Watching this drama got me imagining of how nice it would have been if ML had been born as the Yu's son. A person should have ambition and courage, yet support from their family to be unstoppable.

ML would have gone so much further than he is now and gotten things done a lot easier.

Same, I hope they maintain the hierarchy conflict in the drama too. Honestly, that was really fleshed out in the novel and was one of the reasons why I liked the novel so much. People in different positions, different ages, and different genders will have different expectations in a relationship. To get a relationship working communication and flexibility is key

I am not denying that there is a lot of makeup used by both genders in dramas, but also with everything, it should be used in moderation. If it's too much, as what OP was stating, people will finding is distracting.
I don't want to look at an actor/actress and the first thing I notice is their eye makeup, especially eyeliner. I also don't need all these actors to look perfect as if they just came from a modeling shoot. It usually doesn't bother me but TTEOM was the most distracting eye make up I have yet seen on a main character. Lol that's why I dropped it.

You might have love both leads but not everyone watches the drama because they like the cast. A lot of people are there for the plot and to just have fun and distracting make up does not make a very good viewing experience.
