I just started watched first episode today. And read a few comments seems the main complaint is that it is slow,…
Agree that the (lack of) speed can be an issue. Even though I'm enjoying the drama, I can't believe that, even after 20 episodes, the leads still haven't talked honestly to each other. ML keeps hiding his role in her past (and the origin of Poet's novel). A lot of this drama depends on half-truths, and that can get tiring to watch.
I really can't say I really love any of the 4 main characters. The female lead disappointed me today, allegedly…
FL failed herself and everyone else deleting those files, definitely. BUT: she genuinely believes the SML to be innocent - or so she said. Her worry was/is that, regardless of his innocence, the scandal created by an investigation would be enough to destroy his future in the company.
After DuanXy was lost in the prison, SeMu went for him. I don't quite get whose dream was it wherein they lived…
When he woke up, she hugged him because she was relieved. But she didn't expect him to remember the dream. The thing he said was related to that dream, and it scared her (because it showed that he remembered). However, I'm not sure about the dream itself - I thought they'd gotten stuck in the same illusion (his illusion), but didn't quite understand the specifics of it.
I’m on episode 36, and I’m going to drop it.I lost interest in both the romance and the story. They didn’t…
They didn't do a lot with the sword, that's true. But it did help occasionally - it kept Yan Ke from killing the ML both in the void when he was strung up in front of the palace and in the mortal world, before Feng Yi jumped in to help him. On both occasions the ML was much weaker than his enemy but not completely helpless, thanks to the sword. You just can't expect a mere mortal general to have some sort of showdown with someone as powerful as Yan Ke -or any other spirit.
Finished this a couple of days ago and wanted to share my take - but I had to sit with it for a bit - not because…
FL being cautious seemed very on point to me. Picture this: you've been alive hundreds of years. Your lover will survive another 40-ish years - or maybe just a couple years if he faces issues on the battlefield. Then you're left behind heartbroken. Again (FL already lost her mother as well as mortal friends and apparently lovers). I'm not sure I'd be willing to start a relationship that will make me happy for a few decades and sad for a several centuries. In a way, it's a big sacrifice.
the ending made me rage.. need seasonal 2 or something..
I see you! I was fine with that ending, but only because: a) the show telegraphed from very early on that mortality vs immortality would be an issue; b) it's hopeful. ML may be a jellyfish now, but he won't stay like that. Someday he'll be by FL's side as a spirit, then they'll be together for hundreds of years.
A jelly fish is just the form before he becomes a spirit but they decided to change the end in the drama
There is an ep #41 with a different ending. It isn't available everywhere though (not on Viki). Someone posted the link on this page to watch it on Dailymotion, but you can also google it.
There is mention of trouble when the brothers visit their father. And during the executive meeting when the brother's return is announced, there is concern about "bringing him back so soon" after his release. Unless I misheard something!
can someone tell me if it's a happy ending or a sad ending
I really liked it and definitely recommend it! I liked the story, loved the couple and was fascinated by Dilrabas performance. However: as the title suggests, this is not a romance where everything goes smoothly and happily all the time. Maybe more akin to Ashes of Love? You'll need tissues on a few occasions. Watching it depends on whether you're okay with sobbing once in a while.
can someone tell me if it's a happy ending or a sad ending
There are two endings (ep. 40 + an extra episode with 6 minutes). One is happy, the other is bittersweet (to me, the "sadder" ending still is happy enough - but that's my opinion.)
I wanted to interpret on this 22 lovers tombs of He Simu. I couldn't be serious with it. Throughout the drama,…
I wondered if she misled him in that scene. It is entirely possible for Si Mu to have had 22 admirers, but it also might just be all the people she loved - such as her mom, neighbors etc. She grew up in the mortal world after all. And she routinely made deals with dying people, some of which involved taking care of a loved one - such as this young girl whose weak body she was using (and protecting) during the first episodes. Si Mu definitely had caring relationships with several mortals.
However, I'm not sure about the dream itself - I thought they'd gotten stuck in the same illusion (his illusion), but didn't quite understand the specifics of it.
