Just saw episodes 18 and 19, and their dynamic feels kind of lost. The yearning, the angst, everything that kept me hooked from the start has been put aside. It's all about her work and other people's business. Why would I care about Tu Li's life or Chen Yi's friend's marriage? I feel like every time there's any romantic interaction, it leans more into the comedy side, and I really miss their tension and passion.

I don't care where they still do it, I still think it's stupid.

I saw the first episode, and the modern monarchy concept just feels corny. Constitutional monarchies exist, but they don't walk around in antique costumes or sit there practicing writing with a brush like it's centuries ago. This could've easily been a corporate or political drama since it's basically the same power struggle underneath, or they should've just scrapped these bits from centuries ago.

My only criticism is that they went way too deep into the photovoltaic industry. Sometimes it felt like I was watching a lecture. Do I need to know all that?

When I found out this is based on a novel by the same author of You Are My Glory, everything made sense. Not much unnecessary drama and a healthy, well-developed relationship. So good.
