Not done with ep7 but the symbolism is too good I had to pause. The framing and the ring tones 🤌 I think the hotpot was a little too forced because the whole scene seems to be made for that one moment (ig might be from the novel too--haven't read it), but that was very significant too.

Oh that makes a lot of sense, Wei Yan was moving fast. Is Fan Changning's age ever mentioned?

If Fan Changyu's parents died a little after the incident 16ish years ago, then when was Fan Changning born? She is portrayed by a 7yo, so I'm assuming she's in the range of being 5-8yo. But that would mean the Fan parents were only targeted more recently. Also, Changyu would then be taking care of her since infancy.

I have a big question regarding the age of Fan Changning and the potential plot holes, so I hope someone has an answer. (Contains spoilers, so posting question as reply)
