Maxky + Jeng duo: Best part of the show

For me the chemistry in this show is STRUGGLING 😭 They work as characters, but as a couple? I’m just not buying it and it honestly made me think about their other pairings too. The ML worked better for me as a couple in "Family by Choice" but even in "Why Her" I never really felt that “OMG THESE TWO” chemistry. Same with Hyeri, I felt more couple chemistry with her ML in "May I Help You", but I’ve never gotten that crazy rom-com chemistry from her....That said, I LOVE Hyeri in baddie roles, and she’s genuinely a gem when it comes to physical comedy

Not you writing an entire dissertation because someone didn’t praise the show 😭 “If you don’t like the BL, get the fuck out” is especially embarrassing on a discussion page. I repeat this is a DISCUSSION page not a fan club

I genuinely appreciate how well every character is written and played. Everyone reacts naturally, communicates, handles misunderstandings with respect, and actually listens to each other. Like can we put this cast and these characters in a workshop so the big companies can study how to do this properly

GMM has given me so many good shows and some of my favorite actors, so I have no reason to hate them. I’m questioning the decision-making. Leng didn’t just independently find this role and decide to do it; there are still people involved in approving and managing these projects. So naturally I’m going to question it when an actor as capable as Leng, alongside August, is in a show where they barely get enough material to showcase what they can do.
If they knew this would be such a huge ensemble with so many storylines, I honestly think other artists could’ve fit this project, while Leng and August could’ve been given something more emotionally heavy and complex where their acting actually gets room to shine. That’s really all I was saying 😭

Regarding your discussion on “Hotti Frotti”: I came across a video of about five girls dressed in barely anything, dancing to the song and recreating the MV in times square (NY), with a huge crowd surrounding them. At first, I was disturbed by how they were dressed in a public setting, but then I actually watched the video and was even more shocked by how blatantly sexualized it was while being presented under the image of K-pop. Like… what happened to singers actually being able to sing and dance without having to rely on excessive sexualization to sell a performance? And the craziest part was the comments. Almost nobody was questioning it. Everyone was celebrating it, calling the girls talented and praising the performance. Those girls clearly have the ability to sing and dance. They shouldn’t have to strip down or be hypersexualized to prove their worth or sell themselves. Sometimes we really need to call out BS when we see it, even when the media and everyone around us are trying to normalize it.

Prime example of actors carrying a show. If you want something to binge over the weekend, this is a great pick. You can fast-forward here and there and honestly won’t miss much 😂 but the leads and a few of the side actors make it worth watching, especially with their chemistry.
Trigger warning: the story involves a kidnapper and his victim eventually developing feelings for him, so if that’s a sensitive topic for you, I’d stay away.
Also, I feel sorry for people judging a show based on their preferred couples. Actors are allowed to work with whoever they want and take whatever projects they want. Shaming them for acting with someone outside your preferred ship is so uncalled for.

I genuinely don’t understand GMMTV’s decision sometimes . You have an actor as talented as Leng, and somehow he’s in a show that is supposedly centered around his character but barely gives him enough screen time to actually DO anything because we need to follow a gazillion other couples too. And then you have actors with very average skills getting cast in shows where they occupy like 90% of the screen time and are playing very emotional driven characters. Make it make sense 😭 If you’re going to have someone this capable, at least give him a role where he can actually show what he’s capable of instead of squeezing his storyline between a million other couples and situations happening all at same time

So what I understood from watching it was that they went on their first date, Cop joined, Hacker realized cop feelings and told her about it, then decided not to meet her again. But during the fight, he saw another side of her and actually fell for her. That’s why he wanted to get to know her better and went on another date. But he very obviously has never dated before 😭 so he asked Poisoner for a woman's perspective, and she told him to say “I love you,” and this man literally just said it 💀. So I didn't really count it as a confession. I thought it was a fun bit.
I really like Cop too. I like his relationship with LSY and SeAh, but because she’s basically the only person in his life, I was wondering if he might be confusing attachment with romantic feelings. Hacker, on the other hand, is deliberately choosing to get to know SeAh as a potential partner.
If Cop and SeAh do end up having a clear romantic relationship, I’d love to see it because they already work really well together. Personally, I just really enjoyed Hacker and SeAh’s introvert/extrovert dynamic. Her doing all the activities while he was just existing 😭 and his subtle, completely deadpan comedy was so fun. I hope they build on that. but now that SeAh seems confused too. I’m curious where they take it.
side note: I also love seeing how differently people can interpret the same show. It’s fun reading opinions that are completely different from mine, and honestly sometimes they make me rethink things too. I’ll mostly still stick with my original view, but there have definitely been times when I’d never even considered something until someone disagreed with me and pointed it out. That’s what makes these discussions fun.

agree on some but imo we shouldn't just let this slide. I'm not asking for pro-level tennis not even close but the way they're handling it feels kinda disrespectful to people who actually put years into the sport. Just hire a couple real tennis players as consultants and let them help train the actors and set the scenes. it's a win-win-win, they get work, show looks way better, and honestly most of us wouldn't even know the difference between "trained a bit" and "actual pro."
Anyway I'm still watching . The lead chemistry is great/ their care for eo is good and the brothers relationship on both sides is good too. But like... the tennis is bad, and some of the acting is kinda mid too. Not terrible, just average. I can like a show and still point out things, if we keep ignoring they're just gonna keep putting minimum efforts and expect more

I think that's the only expression Ping knows to make because I can't see much acting difference in both leads and the fact Taeshow is new while Ping already played main lead in 3 or 4 projects just points it out more for me .... but the couple is very cute together

on ep 4 so far ... y'all I can not take their matches seriously, like what's with all the cgi ball placement and they aren't even looking in the direction of ball that they supposedly "hit", all the dramatic sounds and jumping like they are playing basketball and slowmo's haha its just so funny ... also Sun being shown a national training athelete going draw for an amateur is so baffling like even if Bay was a genius talent there is no way someone who hasn't played in years just outcompetes athlete idk what type of image are they presenting for thai national athletes or just any .... I wished they had gotten some basic training because they look good together for a new pair and have chemistry

I don't know what "raspy voice" means but somehow I agree he exactly sounds like that 😂

yes I know the one from "my name" . omg I loved her in that show ... I did remember it was a big thing but there were so many mixed reactions I couldn't tell which fans were right and wrong, while the people involved mostly all 3 of them barely gave any concrete things so I just skipped it and wished everyone happiness ... but yeah besides all of this he really is an amazing actor.. he also played his role in reply1998 very well too

so most schools in Asia have somewhat similar uniforms but they ofc make subtle changes because its their brand image sort of ... some school tho wants to stand out and make something completely new and lets just say that doesn't always go as planned 😂 and they do stand out just not in a good way .... but that's in general idk what the history behind this one is

brother I know that tropes are used multiple times but that's not what I am and most of people are saying here ... its the execution of those tropes ..that's were the problem is.
and no I don't know the writers and this isn't just about writers its about everyone involved in this, like even if writers independently wrote the same things, the other teams like directors could've been like let's shoot these scene differently, the scene designers or whatever those people are called, could've made the structures differently , the costume people could've thought a different thing instead of "werewolf" with the "cat like ear headband" etc . like if this show did 7/10 things differently and then 3/10 things were similar... we would think thats ok it happens but the fact so many are similar is what makes it so stand out.
and I dropped this after watching last ep so I didn't come back to see comments page and it took me a while so reply to you, anyways see you around

yes and yes. I do liked that dynamic and also like there was a few comedic scenes in first 2 episodes like that confusion regarding who seme liked was so well written and acted out but like after ep3 it started losing its character

that cop does not love SeAh ... it seems more of attachment issues to me. 🤧 like she is the only person in his life and now that person is having her own life so he's getting defensive

yes I think most kdrama viewers are females so opinions gets very biased. here I only mentioned her because I was making a point on her, and my impression of HER so I didn't mention him or tbh I didn't even remember him at that time. I somewhat agree on last fact on LMH. I say somewhat because I have never seen much of him to judge him fully, i first saw him in "legend of blue sea" my friend recommended it to me but it felt like the FL was doing everything and he was just reacting to her without having much impression of his own so I dropped it (most of reason was also because the show felt so old .... ) and then I saw LMH with this FL and like I said above that was so worse I dropped it very early on
