I always have a love-hate relationship with characters like Hai Xia. He is so self-sacrificing, always ready to harm himself for the people around him, but he never thought about how him getting harmed would affect Hai Yan(in the recent ep, that go game really revealed why. he doesn't feel like Hai Yan “believes” in him). To him, being disabled is more scarier cause he's scared of being a burden, of relying on people, (even tho he constantly keeps proving that his brain works faster than enemies' weapons lol). He even had to imagine his pain from Hai Lou suffering it to be able to empathise with himself (I thought that scene would be a character development moment for him to accept his disability, but it just turned him even more suicidalT-T). He is actively planning his suicide atp, and it genuinely hurts me thinking that he has to suffer like this cause of other people's mistakes (not blaming the Hai Lan and Hai Qi, but Hai Lou made the mistake of revealing his identity, and Hai Qi couldn't bear Hai Lan also dying, so she told him about the “medicine”. Meanwhile, Hai Xia has done nothing wrong, and he has to get belittled, go mad, and eventually, die). It feels like the writers only wrote his character to suffer endlessly, and give Hai Yan character development (but then again, I don't think Hai Yan would be able to live without Hai Xia like this guy legit walked around with his “corpse”, made two caskets, and went to commit suicide. So either they both die together, or they live together, idk anymore this show is driving me crazy)
Can you give correct order to watch all.. I don't understand some of scenes ... Please I am downbad for archives
there are a ton of Daomu Biji shows. You should just read the novel spoilers 😭 I'd recommend watching the Ultimate Note (its the only Daomu Biji show I've watched) tho cause Zhang Qiling is a main character there (he is the patriarch of Zhang Family basically). btw if you have the attention span to watch everything here it is: 1. Time Raiders. 2. The Lost Tomb 2 3. Ultimate Note 4. Bronze Door 5. Tomb of The Sea 6. Reunion 7. The Legend of Zang Hai 8. The Mystic Nine (Time Raiders and The Lost Tomb 2 just have Wu Xie's story, not much to do with the Zhangs ig? Bronze Door has more of Zhang Qiling's background. if you want more info about this, check out the daomu biji website)
I can't believe only 2 more episodes are left. I am going to cry when this ends. This was an entertaining drama to watch, and I freaking love how they kept the banter between the main couple alive even after they got together. They're both kinda socially inept too, which I adore (need more drama recs with this kinda dynamic). I am not a big fan of CEO MLs anymore, but Se Gye has become one of my fav mls. He is blunt, rude, petty, pathetic, miserably in love, evil(sometimes), and most importantly, he is hilarious. Seo-ri's personality is also similar to his, but she's even more eccentric, and evil, at times. They match eachother's freak, and I freaking love it. Tbh this kinda plot isn't that innovative, or original, and its filled with clichés, but romcom is more of a character-driven genre imo? AND I LOVE WHEN WRITERS UNDERSTAND THIS!
the emo in pridemonth stands for me after watching the “is this a proposal?” scene in ep 9. i haven't been…
Honestly, I still felt like Sho had feelings for ML until the very end. Their connection had to be queerplatonic at the very least. The way Sho cared about ML, and was genuinely more distraught than the FL after ML passed out from writing a song is just so...idk what to say(ig maybe its cause Machida Keita is just so good at acting). He showed the most emotions during that scene. If they weren't both dudes, they'd be canon. Tbh i didn't expect this to be gay to begin with, but the romance aspect in this show genuinely shocked me cause the ml and fl's dynamic gives more “we both share a passion for music” than a “we have a spark and connection that we don't feel for anyone else”. I feel like Akane had more chemistry with Kazushi too, and their dynamic would've been much more interesting than Akane basically idolising her romantic partner. Anyways, Machida Keita looked absolutely beautiful in this drama. I wanna see him with that hairstyle in more dramas♥️

Not sure why some viewers said that FL's transformation is not convincing, that she was weak and naive and now…
Also they're forgetting that she was basically the Empress for ig 5 years(?), and she gave advice to her husband during this time, so she obviously understands court politicsT-T
