I jus had to re-watch the last ep again;) man am still smiling..lolLoved how Keng proposed, such a Mastery way...lol..giving…
reincarnation is a cycle, and as the show said, the next lives pay for the karma accumulated during your past lives.
to stop rebirth, in Hinduism, you have to attain moksha, which is freedom from the cycle, so i assume it's sort of similar with Buddhism and nirvana? i think you have to get to the state of nirvana (enlightenment), which usually requires a lot of self-introspection and meditation, stop the cycle. buddhism's all about detachment, so you have to detach yourself from worldly things and feelings (like a monk, but you dont *need* to be a monk. it just helps speed-run the process)
pharan definitely has not done that (we all saw those nc scenes), so he will be reincarnated until he tries and successfully reaches nirvana. i don't believe he'll go back to being a god, because of his curse. as for khem, he will be reincarnated. since the karma that previously tied him to ramphueng has been cleared up in his current life, it won't impact his next life. as for any of his other karma accumulated in the past, good or bad, that will impact his next lives.
this is from the perspective of a HIndu i think our beliefs in reincarnation and moving on are quite similar and i did some very surface level google-ing so hopefully that made sense
Idk if y'all caught that since translations didn't translate it correctly, but the kids called Khem Mom (mae)…
i was so happy until someone told me he did in fact, say wifey 😠one day we will get a bl where they're *both* husbands and no one is the girl in the relationship because like... there isn't one
i haven't seen jimmysea since vice versa (holy shit it's been 3 years...) cuz i didn't watch last twilight yet and wowowo the chemistry is CHEMISTRYINGG
I won't say namping is an excellent actor but I would say he didn't overdo things. Because actors who are not…
i get what you're saying but i feel like we need to factor in the fact that khem had the ability to see ghosts all his life which probably upped his fear factor a bit *and* knew about his impending death for a while. it would be hard to be lively after that i feel. though i agree about what you said earlier, i think he could have been more expressionate while pharan was getting hurt
I was half right, at the end she did tried to kill her own son. I really hated it when throughout the series,…
you kinda have to see it from his perspective though... khem was dealing with a nastyyy case of survivor's guilt. and of course, the people around him did their best to assure him, but it's not something that goes away easily.
i was thinking along the same line as you, like these people have literally busted their asses day and night to save you and you just... walk out... wtf was the point... then seconds later he said that line about watching someone just die in his past life and not doing anything about it. and then i was reminded of what he had to go through with yai si, thong and ake, the danger the kids doing the play were in, the constant worrying for his loved ones, and it makes total sense.
in that very moment, it looked like there was no other outcome besides sacrificing himself or watching pharan die. obviously, there's the argument of having more faith in pharan, the dude with powers, but then the whole weapon thing happened yadda yadda im sure we watched the same show lol
but those are just my thoughts! like i said i was thinking the exact same way as you so i understand but my mind was changed as i thought over it later ^^
OMG! IT'S 8.8 NOW ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ IS IT THE HIGHEST RATED BL CURRENTLY?
i think it is, everything else seems to be at an 8.7 or lower! i thought our youth was higher (i swearrr i saw it at 8.9) but i think it dropped. yay khemjira!!
wait. he was calling him phi the whole time. normally just putting his name in the subs would be fine but its hard to hear a difference between phi and peem i thought he was just calling him by name since the beginning
I have one question...why is Ramphueng fixated on a child who lied to protect her Mom instead of going after the…
adding on to what the others said, she cursed *everyone* even involved, and of course, krongkhwan was just doing what her mom said, but just by telling that one lie, she sealed ramphueng's fate (and i guess by extension, her own) and it travelled down to khem
I read your whole essay and I can relate to some of your thoughts! BL but with an intense story is not something…
ahh im glad it's making you more expectant!! i'm confident you won't be disappointed hehe right lowkey that whc presscon was the best thing that could've happened to me
i've been YEARNING for a bl series that wasn't like... a bl? does that make sense? or i think it actually sounds kinda homophobic...
what i intend to say is, i just want a series with a kick-ass plot (such as this) where the main couple just happens to be gay. but the plot isn't them. it's more of a sub-plot than anything, really, and i think that's the appeal of this show, to me at least (especially since their romance DID feel more like a side-plot regardless. i'm still a bit befuddled as to how they fell that deeply into love since it took so long for pharan to get his shit together and for khem to stop being so awk but i guess the past lives thing was doing most of the heavy lifting. i don't actually care about the logistics im just glad they're together, but that was my feeling about their romance arc.)
for example, weak hero is my favorite bl even though it's not a bl. and why do you think c-bromances like the spirealm or word of honor or the untamed got so popular? hell, even high school frenemy is like a peak example... saintshin deadass have more chemi than some bl pairings, even being a bromance one.
i also love that logic is actually applied. normally, whenever i spot loopholes in words or whatever or something that i assume should logically happen/be said according to the storyline thus far, it doesn't happen and the scene normally succumbs to the special bl "plot furthering ignorant dumbassery." but i KNEW the midnight thing wasn't going to work, somehow. and i don't have specific examples, but their lines of thought actually felt realistic in this show.
but the MOST significant thing for me, by FAR, is the fact that they highlight their relationships with others, too. from our obvious couples, to the three musketeers, to grandma si, to the villagers and pharan, to thong and ake (those were my CHILDREN UGH ake saying he cant live without thong literally shattered me. if you were curious.), and even that small moment with jane and jet. it makes me so happy to see things like this, that they have a life outside of their partner. and i get that the point of a bl is to see the romance, but they seriously act like they're the only ones important to each other.
in a few short words, the people (me) yearn for PLOTLINES!! SMART PEOPLE!! MEANINGFUL NON-ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS!!!!
i even found some comfort in the familiarity of some of the spiritual aspects, even though i'm a Hindu. that intro song especially like the chanting and the bells like ooohhh so good so good
if you told little 2021 me who just watched Why R U for the first time that something like khemjira came from the same production company, i'd laugh in your face then rewatch all the mii2 scenes because that was literally the best i had. we've come so far. i'm so proud, i could shed a tear. best bl series of like... all time
