it's very, very disappointing that they used AI for the special effects and stunts. badly made effects and obvious stunts would have been preferable to using a literal plagiarism device to create art where humans are meant to make it. i was going to watch this because i'm very proud of tong for starring in his first bl but with the AI i don't think i can do so in good conscience.

AI is not only damaging to the environment but also to creatives of all kinds. when we start to use it for art, in any capacity, we forfeit human creativity, even if the usage is just limited to editing. i am in no way trying to blame the actors here because i recognize their dedication to the project. however, i am blaming the production company for using AI in place of human creativity.

There must be a reason why Thai BLs insist on these out of place attempts at comedy. Is it a cultural divide,…
There is nothing "out of place" about the light-hearted moments in this show. The human experience is not one-dimensional. Yes, it's a show about the experiences of several people during a tumultuous and violent period in Thai history. However, that doesn't mean they aren't allowed to have humorous interactions and allow themselves fleeting moments of joy. It's precisely these light-hearted moments that allow people to carry on during hard times. Yes what they're going through is difficult and traumatizing but that doesn't mean they should turn into completely serious, emotionless robots. So far the show actually does a phenomenal job of balancing these two facets of the human experience because the worst thing that can happen when you're trying to fight against injustice, violence, and inequality is to lose your connection with joy, however small that joy might be.
