I understand why it may look contradictory at first, but I think Miao Jing’s choices make much more sense when…
It was absolutely love reading your comment, beautifully summarised. I agree with what you said, especially that Miao Jing needed to build a life of her own before returning, and that her return was a conscious choice rather than dependence.
I also love your point about her trying to make Chen Yi see his own worth. To me, the only place where my interpretation differs is in how I see Miao Jing's love her love for Chen Yi wasn't just romantic. It had become something deeper, they were each other's family. That's why, even if Chen Yi had ended up with someone else, she probably still would have wanted to stay in his life in whatever way she could, because her concern for him went beyond wanting to be his girlfriend. At the same time, I don't think Miao Jing was someone who lost herself in love. She loved Chen Yi immensely, but she also valued herself. She chose to build her own life, and I think if Chen Yi had truly refused her, she eventually would have accepted it and continued living instead of sacrificing herself forever. Her love was not self consuming( which is shown very beautifully) Even when she tells her ex that she's "a bit selfish" because she wants someone who can love her unconditionally, I think it shows that she wanted a love where both people chose each other, not a love built only on sacrifice. And her having a past relationship shown she tried to have her life her own way, but chen yi was such an integral part that even after all that it was him in the end.
Her character is that of an alluring woman. She is complex, caring, strong and sexy . I think JingYi has brought…
It was interesting reading the comments of you both. I think thats what you call grey characters, and i absolutely loved this bcoz in real life as well nothing is black and white. People make mistakes they carry regrets, And that is portrayed here soo well like both have their flaws but at the same time u cant just straightaway call then wrong, bcoz u have to consider their backstory which can't justify but explain why they behave the way tbey do, and the reason they tuen out to be the way they are.
You did not watch it. Because the leads never got together to break up first of all THE ENTIRE POINT was that…
Well i have a question, i agree with the point the makingout is not equal to being in a relation but am still on epi 21 so i could be wrong but in episode 20 when she is taking pictures of the exchanged numberplates and the Ml comes and she asks him k are u gere as my bf or as their representative. And then in the car when he says am nothere as their person so the girl says something along the lines that then as my bf you are more wrong bcoz this is my job and u are interfering with my work.
But then again my opinion on their relation is completely different as I think it was a kind of relationship where no title can be given, its like they were family to begin with so nothings gonna change that and at the same time they themselves were clear of the dynamics of that familial relation.
im on episode 35, im still wondering what is the reason Lishan doesnt support Empress Dowager to become an emperor?…
lishan was loyal to the royal blood as they said which is mo lineage not of the Queen(guo). And also the way she wanted to govern when descendent of eastern palace was there, i mean any one can hate mo jinli for what he is doing and specifically how but if i go according to the story i seriously cant hate him, bcoz he was the rightful owner of throne as the son of crown prince. And rather the passing the crown to him queen wanted to ascend herself. And directly or indirectly she was the cause of fire at the eastern palace, and the death of mls brother and those 30k soilders. So she isn't that great leader, who cares just for the people she just wants power.
Am at episode 4, can someone plz help me understand why the empress dowager killed and kind of ruined lishan mountain. I mean what i understood is something like she wanted to be the empress with all the power and loke rule the nation and leshan mountain had the scholars and ministers in court and others whichis why she couldn't ascend the throne and destroyed them. Or is there something else.
They changed the story from the novel a bit, but I'm loving it still. The visuals are incredible. I'm always fascinated…
I am someone who either read the novel or watch the drama, for this one what do u suggest?? Like if u compare the story of both which did u like better
I'm so worried abt the script of this drama. I cannot see these or any actor as shen Miao or Xie Jing Xing. They…
Sameee here. I mean i literally feel 36 epis won't even be enough to show the 1st half of the novel. While reading the novel not even one scene felt lacking, everything was adding to the plot so seriously missing any point would definitely ruin it. And yessss the actors i agree for them to be best. But seriously the versions i have are quiteee different from the ones shown. Specially shen miao. I mean after rebirth she was 14 or 15. And they are most probably going to change that. I mwan it the the part of plot that she was soo young and naive that no one could imagine she was the mastermind behind those schemes.
He is one of the most charming character that I have ever read. He is mysterious, sharp, dangerous and deeplyyyyyyyyyyy…
Its been a while since I read the novel, but he was mostly in the shadows for 1st half of the novel. Just a few scenes here and there. From my perspective he did like her from very early on, and also he was actually interested in her schemes, and then after 2nd half, dont remember exactly but definitely from 100 -150 chapters he started showing up more often. And thats probably when he realised that he likes her. There was not a proper confession or something as far as i remember but it was all the things and their batter and his hidden teasing.
Ohh how i wish i could watch the drama as well, but good for u, u can watch it as u find him the best as xjx. But for me as i read it before any idea about dylan wang playing the character, so my idea of xjx is far different. But still i wish success to all the actors. And maybe he can playout that role well. But for fl meng ziyi is farrrrrrre form my imagination.😭
To those who read the novel.. Regarding the character of Dylan Wang (Xie jing xing )What is his character like?
He is one of the most charming character that I have ever read. He is mysterious, sharp, dangerous and deeplyyyyyyyyyyy calculating but not that boring cold prince. His every move is precise and made while considering every possible situation. Our fl is also calculating but she was originally naive, she had the advantage of experience of her past life whereas on the other hand XJX is extremely intelligent either be it past or present. He is playful and teasing on the surface, but giving an aura of mystery, suspense and power. He is actually like am amused by everything but I am the one controlling the entire situation. He is one step ahead of every one. He doesnt support the fl directly rather he is behind the curtains enjoying her moves her scheming and plotting and providing support only when necessary. He is a strong player, moves in the shadow when everyone else is busy fighting openly. The way he loves shen miao is the besttt. He is morally gray character but emotionally the most loyal and sincere one. He is the perfect example of I knw that she don't need me nor i have to fight her battles but whenever u turn back u will find me standing at the back. They literally compliment each others ruthlessness. Idk what more to say about him. But he is actually one of the best character i have ever read. I justttt hopeeeeee they dont ruin him. But I dont think i will be watching this series bcoz the image i have of xjx i dont think anyone can do justice to that.
Can someone plzz tell me which is better the novel or the series so far, am someone who can either read or watch so with this one am confused. Should i just watch it, or the novel version is better so i would just go for the novel.
