I have to say, though, all about lily chou chou is incredibly depressing so you should only watch this when youre in an okay or good mood because otherwise it might make you eh question your existence a little too much lol... Gelboys, on the other hand, is more light hearted and romance focused (with an actually happy ending) but it might also hurt you or get you in your feels

Leverage features a group of former criminals who to bring to justice fellow thieves, grifters and con-men world-wide, who otherwise would not get their due through the usual legal channels.

lots of yearning and intense longing, good and natural chemistry, scenes that will make your heart flutter.
The ost is kind of similar (sound and usage wise i feel), kind of synth heavy beats, sweet beats.

If you loved Alchemy of Souls, The East Palace gives off a similar fantasy vibe while telling its own unique story.

The drama blends palace intrigue, mystery, and supernatural elements into an engaging narrative. While it doesn't have the same complex magic system or action-packed fights as Alchemy of Souls, it stands out with its emotional storytelling, beautiful cinematography, and strong performances. The costumes, palace setting, and gradual unraveling of secrets create an immersive atmosphere.

The pacing is slower than Alchemy of Souls, especially in the beginning, but it rewards patient viewers with solid world-building and meaningful character development. If you're expecting non-stop action, you may find it less intense, but if you enjoy fantasy, mystery, and palace politics, it's definitely worth watching.

They are very similar: ML who can transform into a spirit and traverse the spectral realm. They are resolving supernatural disturbances in the human world

I'm really surprised that no one has written a recommendation for these two yet. Both of them are set around the 90s, and their present-day timelines take place about 18 to 20 years after they first met.

Both characters start as strangers to each other, though 18×2 focuses strictly on the relationship between the FL (Female Lead) and ML (Male Lead), splitting the story 50/50 between the past and the present. Meanwhile, 20th Century Girl includes more of a high school and friendship vibe.

Their biggest similarity lies in the ending. Yes, in both stories, one of the main characters passes away, leaving the other yearning for them for nearly 20 years. The difference is that in 20th Century Girl, they don't know that [the other person] has died, whereas in 18×2, they actually know.

In both of these boys love dramas both of the seme characters have an authority / power control over the other and the uke characters despite knowing the lack of morals still love the other main character and the story revolves around their highly toxic and intense relationship.

It has mystery and similar elements to it. although this drama is a bit old, but nine puzzles does remind me of that.
