Recommendations

While the story and over-all vibe of both drama is very different from each other, both star Sandara Park and are consisted of mini-episodes. You could finish the whole show in one sitting.

-also debuting girl idol trainees who are talented and deserve to debut!!
-the debuted group was Rocket Girls 101 (who have already disbanded :()
-but if you want girl group vibes this is it!!

-the second season of Idol Producer, but the boy version
-debuted UNINE
-equally as funny content with equally as talented idol trainees

-both set in the olden times period where sewing and textile industry is just becoming a thing
-has elements of sewing, designing and clothing industry
-TCOL is a bit more focused on revenge/romance aspect of the plot

-also has sewing, fabrics and design elements (all about fashion and textile industry)
-BOY is like the more modern version, not set in the olden times
-main lead CPS are super shippable
-both guys are a bit nerdy, but TSG is a little bit more on the alpha side while in BOY he's a cute and humorous but very loving

-similar in that there is a long winding plot to discover who is the culprit
-lots of dead bodies and people that are killed by "serial killer" motives
-personal baggage behind characters a lot
-main female lead in Memorist is BADASS

-also has a long winding plot that is revealed through the whole drama
-has lots of flashbacks and each character has personal baggage that is revealed
-full of mystery and intrigue
-HIP has a science fiction element to it tho
-main lead for HIP is cutee cute cutee

They are similar in a way that the main male lead talks in chinese and main female lead talks in korean......


The chemistry is cute

-also features traveling and different destinations except YP2 is in China while Beautiful Youth features places in New Zealand
-FAN CHENG CHENG IS IN BOTH <3
-both have really good casts, super funny
-if you're an IP fan, you'll love both

-if you enjoy long plot lines with lots of twists and flashbacks these are both similar
-both female leads are mistaken at first for different people
-one focuses on art/drawing while the other is about singing (both art related things)
-features peter ho in both!! although imo he's a bit old to be casted in BRF as his character

- older woman/younger man relationship
- relationship where one of them has a kid and is divorced
- workplace and love
- light romantic comedies

from the first few episodes I have found some similarities but as a historical drama instead of a modern drama.
They both show the main lead male being arrogant and full of himself

- sismance, female friendships, each a different personality with their own problems
- mature, hardworking women in their fields of work
- stories of their love and life

-features amazing food an Chinese cooking
-overall have really good casts and feature special guests!!
-pretty similar except one is opening a restaurant and the other focuses more on farming

-another season!!! so happy they've continued
-new location, new guests and just overall more wholesome content
