After watching the Mantis trailer, the flower of evil came to mind. In The Mantis, ML's mom is a serial killer. In the Flower of Evil ML's father is a serial killer. Both stories surround murders and the people who get affected by the killers due to their family ties. So both stories are pretty much similar.

Both are Japanese lesbian series. They share the same producer. One is more of a comedy the other is more of a psychological mystery drama. But they both have a sweet GL romance.

- actor "Winner" in both of it !!

This is a crazy comparison (I KNOW) but I can't help but find Ai Di and Isumi to be soooo similar. They're both sassy, short, blonde and hopelessly in love. If you like this character archetype and you've watched one, you'll enjoy the other. Aside from that, there's really no similarity between these two dramas (lol).

Note: "Kuroi Gashu: Shogen" is way darker than "Sad temptation" and the relationship between the two MLs is a bit different (in "Kuroi Gashu: Shogen" it's mostly a sexual relationship, in "Sad temptation" it's a slightly romantic bond).

- There's a battle between immortals and demons in both dramas (Xianxia)
- Both the FL have an unclear identity and are weak in the beginning
- Both the ML are powerful demon and are cruel (there is some choking involved in both dramas, and not the sexy kind...)
- In both dramas, the FL and the ML must ally for their own interests
- In both dramas, the casting and the production (sets, costumes, music, special effects) are excellent

If you like the hong kong remake of my lovely liar, you definitely should watch the Korean original drama (imo the Korean ver is better). And vice versa, if you liked the kdrama, check out the remake in case you like it! Basically very similar/same storyline but in different countries and different actors...
