It's okay to not be okay is darker and more goth without the comic breaks, but overall the themes are the same with the FL haunted by her mother's illness and the ML dealing with an autistic sibling and them finding each other after many years finding love , acceptance and trust amidst their many insecurities and vulnerabilities.
It's Okay, That's Love is one of the best dramas in this genre. A mature romance exploring complicated psychological traumas, a light hearted extended hospital setting and a great friend/ doctor support system laced with quirky dark humor. Great OST with an amazing ensemble cast and Acting! Overall quite similar to Can This Love Be Translated in the main theme, but emotionally deeper in its exposition of the past and present circumstances and what it can take to heal beyond just love and words!
Epic love story between the male and female leads while enduring extreme hardships. Life experience is needed to grasp the depth of both dramas. Masterpieces both (this includes My Dearest 2 which is just the continuation, not a second season, of My Dearest).
