There's no investigation/detective in twelve letters but the mystery , angst and communicating with past/future kind of reminds me of signal .

Each episode in both are pretty depressing.

Remake; same story different actors

"Chong Sheng Tuan Chong: Da Xiao Jie Mei Tian Zai Xian Da Lian" feels more comedic than "She Runs, He Chases, She Can't Fly"
