FL is a person of importance in a historical time (empress in HDJtT and general in MFG) who travels to modern times and has to adapt to living as a contemporary woman. She ends up being accidentally found by the very rich ML and they make an arrangement to live together. Both FLs are atypical, strong and rough in a fish-out-of-water situation

Both take place in all-boy christian school; coming out in a heavily religious atmosphere; questioning your faith in face of homophobia; complicated relationship with a religious mentor figure; one of the leads is a rebel. Also just the vibes are very similar - melancholic, bittersweet, very raw coming-of-age story.

Even though To Sir, With Love (Khun Chai) is in the style of a traditional lakorn (in lieu of a modern BL series), both shows are set in the past with Memoire of Rati being set in the late 1910s, while Khun Chai is set in the 1940s. Though only the trailer has been released for Memoire of Rati, it is very clear there will be an attempt at an arranged marriage, struggles of the acceptance of homosexuality, and a deep wholesome love. These are qualities shared by both shows. Furthermore, they also share similar clothing with European influence is both, although Memoire of Rati is much more Thai in influence, while Khun Chai has heavy Chinese influence. Overall, if you are looking forward to watch this drama, I would highly recommend Khun Chai.

The dramas are set in very similar time periods in Thai history, with Memoire of Rati being set in the late 1910s in what seems to be somewhere in Central Thailand, while I Feel You Linger in the Air is set in the 1920s-30s in Northern Thailand. The aesthetics of both shows are very similar. Even though only the trailer has come out for Memoir of Rati, one can already tell the similarities of the two shows via the clothing, architectural style, European influence, and a more conservative form of love.

These are both Kim Tae Ri dramas where she is talented in a skill and works her way up to be well known in that particular skill (gukgeuk in Jeongnyeon, fencing in 2521). In both dramas, she has a female rival who seems to have more professional training than her at the beginning of the show. The rivals in both shows initially hate Kim Tae Ri's characters, but Kim Tae Ri's characters and the rivals eventually overcome their differences to form a friendship.

Both are stories of talented women and how they thrive in the mainly female organizations that they joined. In these organizations, they gain friends and rivals. While Jeongnyeon joined the female gukgeuk organization, Jang Geum joined the palace maid/cook female organization and then later on the became one of the female nurses in the palace (Jang Geum gained a best friend and a rival in both her palace maid/cook years as well as her nurse/medicine years).

=> set in Korean not very far from the war years like Korean War and WW2, Jeongnyeon is set after the Korean War while Handmaiden was set about a few years before WW2
=> Kim Tae Ri has a female love in Handmaiden. While it's not directly stated in Jeongnyeon, there seem to be a lesbian relationship in between Jeongnyeon and her friend Jooran.
=> The writer of Jeongnyeon novel was partly inspired by Kim Tae Ri's Handmaiden character

This is also about solving mysteries and crime fighting. The premise of both dramas seem to be the same and the acting as well.
