Veil of Shadows and Wan Hua Shi Jie are similar in that both feature powerful, intelligent female leads navigating supernatural worlds filled with danger, deception, and hidden agendas. Lu Wu Yi, a nine-tailed fox in disguise, seeks to capture a demon while uncovering others’ motives, whereas Su Lu Xia travels through multiple manhua worlds to punish wrongdoers and maintain universal balance. Both stories blend fantasy, romance, and action, highlighting themes of justice, transformation, and emotional complexity. Though Veil of Shadows leans more into wuxia and myth, and Wan Hua Shi Jie into isekai-style revenge, they share a core focus on female empowerment and strategic battles against evil.

A former crime boss walks away from that life, but his dad won’t let him be. Dad insists that he take over the enterprise. ML reunites with his childhood sweetheart, but he hides his true identity from her. The plot sounds rough and dark, but it was actually a fluffy romcom. Kinda crazy how they mixed those opposite elements yet created a warm, delightful, and funny drama.

Same period. Second couple was giving similer women power vibe. Asa ga kita is more like a documentary, nami uraraka ni is a love story. Actually both of them are made-up, unrealistic stories form japanese culture. But I liked both. I recommend it if you want to find some hdrama that is really worth to watch from start to end. Especially Asa ga Kita made me realize a lot of things in my life.

Two different shows in the same font, but the male lead transmits to a different world, amazing OSTs, both shows have the best comedy to laugh your heart out, and of course, strong main characters in both shows are determined to go their own paths and not allow others to control their fate.

MOVIE: Based on the real Samsung semiconductor and LCD plant cases. Another Family (2014) mainly focuses on Joon Mi and her family, and her father's relentless fight to bring justice for her case which brought other employees' illnesses to light in a court case against the company Jinsung Electronics (Samsung) that was directly involved their deaths or terminal illnesses, and Korea Workers Compensation & Welfare Service (KCOMWEL) that fought against worker's compensation for the employees.

DRAMA: Based on several companies, one of which was Samsung. Oh My Ghost Clients (2025) focuses on the team that helps employees who have industrial hazard deaths, or illnesses, and the cases are wrapped up every 2 episodes.

Both are heartwarming. Both are based on the 'persistent underdog wins against huge conglomerates' real life cases, and include snippets of the real people's stories who are the catalyst behind both the movie and the drama.

Trust me on this. Female leads are both entrepreneurs who hate being walked all over... Both MLs fall first and fall hard! They both struggle with class differences too, just trust me and watch.
