The tones of the shows are similar. There are violent themes and powerful female characters. Both stories feature persons with outstanding abilities who must keep them hidden from other people in order to defend themselves
Both offer a rom-com look at the BL television production industry. The characters have a similar energy in the vibe they give off. The couple chemistry in both is quite light and refreshing too.
After watching the Mantis trailer, the flower of evil came to mind. In The Mantis, ML's mom is a serial killer. In the Flower of Evil ML's father is a serial killer. Both stories surround murders and the people who get affected by the killers due to their family ties. So both stories are pretty much similar.
Both are Japanese lesbian series. They share the same producer. One is more of a comedy the other is more of a psychological mystery drama. But they both have a sweet GL romance.

This is a crazy comparison (I KNOW) but I can't help but find Ai Di and Isumi to be soooo similar. They're both sassy, short, blonde and hopelessly in love. If you like this character archetype and you've watched one, you'll enjoy the other. Aside from that, there's really no similarity between these two dramas (lol).
