Singer Hyeon Seok develops problems with his hearing (Menieres syndrome) and has to stop his recordings. He notices a picture of Hokkaido in a magazine and decides to travel there. He eventually arrives in a a small village in Hokkaido for rest. While there, he reminisces about the old days. The owner of the inn offers him a Japanese meal. There he meets a bright cheerful girl named Megumi.

They're both dialogue heavy and watch more like plays than television, they both grapple with themes of grief and isolation, they're both stories about young queer men without really being genre-complacent BLs, they both rely heavily on visual symbolism, and they both end on cathartic new beginnings.

If you became interested in the life of maiko and geisha in Kyoto, this drama explores the topic further. They are both sweet feel-good stories.

Another story that is told through the perspective of different characters. Many misunderstandings and lies are revealed as the story unfolds, to finally show what really happened.

I think they both have similar story line and vibe. Both FL have similar occupation although in LoY, FL is not government official. Worth giving a try!

Both of these dramas are centered around a protagonist who is the boss or leader of a group but never shows his face, only for an incident to cause him to be suddenly forced to show his face to his fellow team members.

Both stories are bl and are set in school/university. Both of the main character have trauma from their past. In short, both are short dramas to binge in one sitting. The romance is romancing in these dramas! ??

Focuses around preserving Chinese culture--if you like/want to learn more about crafts and history, Hi Producer revolves around that theme. It is not a romance driven drama but when I watched this I thought of Hi Producer's intention to celebrate and preserve Chinese arts and architecture.

Overall, the two are very similar atmosphere in terms of plot and cinematography.
