In both lakhorns ML hated to love FL. In" Mia Jum Pen" that happens after ep 26 since they happily and in love married each other early on.

Both Lakhorns have the same main-leads Bee & Namfon.

In both lakhorns FL is a orphan that got adopted by her uncle. In "Ploy Lom Phet" her uncle`s wife was the only one actually caring for her/with the cousins being awful while in "Mia Jum Pen" both her aunt and cousin treated her like a slave after uncle`s death.

Both Evil Second Female leads wants the Male lead for his wealth, while our ML in both lakhorns falls for FL at first sight.

In both lakhorns ML punishes FL cause of misunderstandings.

In both lakhorns Evil second female lead is horrible and greedy.

FL is forced to take the second female lead`s identity (identity switch) in both lakhorns.

FL is orphan and is described as very beautiful in both lakhorns.

In both lakhorns FL has the sense of gratitude towards Evil SFL and the elders and doesn not stand up against them.

Both the storylines have same male lead and similar characters of female leads. Stories embark upon the beauty and hardships of small towns. Flying to the big cities but turning back to the hometowns. Working hard to enhance tourism and everything in small town city. Moreover, the romance is not to be forgotten. Leads have amazing chemistry.

In The Outsider, a returnee takes over a large business from his half brother, and he falls in love with a young principled businesswoman who has been struggling to start in life. The CEO has to fight enemies outside and inside the company, and the young woman also deals with people who try to use her as a pawn in their power game.
The protagonists are well suited to the story, not looking fresh out of college (although Vengo Gao as CEO Wang has a lighter role than the darker vampire one he plays in recent Snowfall, and Zhang Yuqi as Su Mo is more buxom than cute smiling baby faced) They play strong characters, engagingly.
The cast also features Kira Shi (Zeng Di in ABAY), here in a role that is less antagonistic, even friendly for a change ; and Tian Miao (funny Lu Linjia's mom in ABAY) is Su Mo's mother living in a home town away from Shanghai, where the drama is set.

Like many Japanese dramas, the soundtrack for Kanojo Wa Kirei Datta / She Was Pretty was on point. It is quirky, lively, funny, but at times heavy. The music accentuated each of the scenes’ depth. Kanojo Wa Kirei Datta was more comedic and less heavy than its Korean counterpart, and the musical score did its job.

Side Story of Fox Volant is a bit heavier of a drama but they do share some similarities:

- Both are Wuxia stories
- Both male leads become better fighters as the series progresses
- Both MLs have "master-level" mentors
- Both have element of romance but the MLs never kiss the FLs
- Both series will possibly make you cry (but for different reasons)
