Hu Ba Yi is well versed in Feng Shui with specialization in tomb configuration, which he learned from an antique book he inherited from his family. The knowledge saved him when he fell into a ditch in a snow avalanche in Tibet. And again when he and his friends joined an archaeology team to explore the "ghost cave" located in Taklamakan Desert. As he helped the team navigate through the dangers, he couldn't help feeling that someone had predicted their every move and designed the traps and hidden passages accordingly.

The educated urban youth, led by Hu Ba Yi, went and worked in the countryside of Northeast China. To rescue the sick villager——Hua Mei, they, together with the hunter, Uncle Zhao, went to Forest and Snow Bear Cave to collect antidote. However, they were suddenly attacked by a bear, so they had to flee into the underground Weasel Mansion. They witnessed strange things and illusions happen there.

The drama tells the story of young Hu Ba Yi in the 1960s, when he was only a college student, in his first adventure that led him to become a famous tomb-specialist and how he also met his future team members and friends.

The two main lead actors of My School President (Gemini and Fourth) are the main leads in My Love Mix-Up! too. It is a boys love romcom like My School President is so most people that love one would probably love the other one as well!

ML and FL very similar relationship. FL loves ML, ML is very aloof and they often fight. ML is super smart while FL is a bit dumb. Same plot as Playful kiss, Kiss me, Itazura na Kiss.

Kiss Me has a similar vibes between the ML and FL. They show attraction and yet also argue and disagree often throughout the show. Both have a dumb FL and a super smart ML.

Gemini and Fourth (the main actors of My Love Mix-Up!) are a couple in Moonlight Chicken as well. Although they are the side couple, they have a lot of scenes and have a beautifully written storyline.
