It's the predecessor to Reply 1994 - it aired first and is, obviously, set in the future but some of the characters from 1994 interconnect with 1997's at a point. It also has the same general feel as 1994.

If you enjoyed the main story arc on Joong Won past in Master's Sun you'll enjoy Bride of the Century, it almost feels like a spin off.

In both story line the heroine has to pretend to be married to a weathy man because of a lie.

If you haven't seen the other seasons then I recommend that you should watch it.

Lee Seung Gi is the male lead in both dramas. Both dramas have the same gumiho theme.

The female in Phoenix does outrageous things, another good romance/ revenge story.

Complicated/sophisticated plot of a girl losing loved ones and trying to get revenge, falling in love along the way. Also epic love triangles!

In both the police use very similar methods of investigation. Both have a rookie female detective as the main lead.

In both stories, an innnocent man spent years in jail and later wants to get revenge with using the female lead, but he ends up falling in love with her.

Both series show the relationship between neighbors and female lead doesn't trust people easily. Let's eat has bonus food eating scenes.

The male lead hides his true identity in both series. Hi My Sweetheart has a revenge theme. The male lead in Fall in Love With Me wants to help the small company of the female lead succeed.

Both movies are about survival and big disasters. The danger is really different, in The Tower is the fire set in a tall building in the middle of Seul while in Deranged is something like a national plague that makes people jump to the rivers. But in both movies there is caos and crowds trying to survive. Some people only take care of themselves while others do everything they can to save the ones they love. In addition, both of them are big Korean productions, the scenarios and special effects are great.

They are similar in the sense that they are both romantic comedies with a creepy twist but I have to say "Let's Eat" does it so much better! Another similarity between the two is the idol actors while in dating agency there's soo young in "let's eat" there is yoon doo joon and let me just say is acting completely blew. me. away. I didn't even know he was an idol! (I dont keep up with kpop) Every character was loveable and the love line was much nicer in my opinion because it's not a stereotypical love triangle :)
There is only one issue with this drama which you may realize simply with reading the title. They eat allll the time it WILL make you hungry so eat before hand!

Both dramas are melodramas which both a childhood and adult part. Both dramas make you cry episode after episode because everything that happens to the main characters is so sad.
Also the shipbuilding theme in May Queen is comparable to the Fish Farming theme in Golden Rainbow.
Kim Yoo Jung plays the younger version of the female lead in both dramas.

These two short dramas are very similar and I just love them both. Both depict young couples who fall in love but face trials in their relationship. If you love one, you would definitely love the other.
I personally thing that they are both great dramas and would have loved it if they were extended. Happy watching :)
