Both are mini dramas with a modern day FL, whose career revolves around food, who is transported to historical times where she is engaged or married to the ML. She proceeds to win his heart through food and her endearing personality.
Both are mini dramas in which the FL time travels from the present to the past and ends up married by an emperor's decree to the ML who is a general.
Both are mostly fluffy historical dramas in which the FL is married to the general ML who she has never met and who has a reputation as a cold man. Both slowly fall in love.

just first to say that they are very different but when I watched it there were some aspects that felt similar, these include:
1. boss/ employee relationship between ML and FL.
2. the FL is interested in food/cooking as their career.

I recommend all the series for Falling in love like a romantic drama. They both are realty tv shows that cast actors, actresses and models to showcase a story. Each episode has a romantic plot they act out. The difference is with “ when we write love story” it is with the same couple and their storyline builds on each episode. “Falling in love like a romantic drama” the cast or the scriptwriter decide who gets paired. Each storyline for their “drama” is super cute.
One is fantasy and the other not, but both have similar elements. The FL begins the dramas having lost a portion of her memory, and the plot alternates between the past in flashbacks and present to explain the events of what happened when she and a group of people were stranded on an island. In both dramas there is a killer amongst the group and she must figure out who it is in present day. Both dramas also involve the FL meeting the ML shortly before the events on the island and the two forming a strong bond there.
